Hammond B-3 organ legend Dr. Lonnie Smith has announced a January 12 release for All in My Mind, a spirited live trio album that the NEA Jazz Master recorded during his 75th birthday celebration at the Jazz Standard in New York City this past summer. The album is the follow-up to his acclaimed 2016 release Evolution, which marked Smith’s return to Blue Note Records where he first made a name for himself with a run of classic soul jazz albums between 1968-70.

On the new release of the GNAGS guitarist Per Frost, he collects the threads from an impressive, 50 years long and still super active career. The album, consisting of both own songs, cover versions and instrumental numbers, is now released on Friday, January 5th. The album "The Calling" lands with a mix of own songs, covers and a number of instrumental numbers, thus reflecting the profile Frost and his band have been touring with since 2008. Per Frost says about his own songs on the record: "My own songs are sometimes dumped a little unannounced - from which I do not quite know, but I have a penchant for the blues-based songs and pop up a groove in it - or near - the genre sometimes results in a song ".

Camila’s self-titled solo debut album is set to be released on January 12th, 2018 and was previously titled The Hurting, The Healing, The Loving. Speaking of the album in an Instagram post, Camila had described songs on the album to each have ‘special memories behind them’, and that it feels ‘emotional letting them go’ as it marks ‘the end of a chapter’ of her life.

Jake Heggie, who has been described as US opera’s most successful composer, chose the celebrated playwright Terence McNally as his librettist for Great Scott. The two previously collaborated on the gripping Dead Man Walking, which has become something of a modern classic since its premiere in 2000. Joyce DiDonato first performed its central role, Sister Helen Prejean, at New York City Opera in 2002 and will do so again in concert stagings in London and Madrid in January/February 2018, coinciding with the album release of Great Scott.

Lost on the Road to Eternity is the 20th studio album from the rock group Magnum. The album was released on January 19, 2018. The cover was painted by Rodney Matthews. It is the group's first album to feature Lee Morris on drums and Rick Benton on keyboards. It is also the longest studio album the band has released to date (not counting bonus tracks). The album features Tobias Sammet on the title track, an artistic thank you by the Avantasia frontman for Bob Catley's numerous guest appearances on his albums.

For the past two years, Nils Frahm has been building a brand new studio in Berlin to make his 7th studio album titled All Melody, which will be released on January 26th, 2018 via Erased Tapes, before Nils embarks on his first world tour since 2015. Since the day Nils first encountered the impressive studio of a family friend, he had envisioned to create one of his own at such a large scale.

2018 has all the signs of being the break out year – so long deserved – by Samantha Martin and Delta Sugar. The group’s latest recording, entitled Run to Me, released on Gypsy Soul Records April 27, 2018 has reached #1 on the Roots Music Report Blues Charts, #14 on the US blues charts, #24 on Earshot! in Canada, and #36 on UK Blues Radio and have received incredible record reviews from all over the world. Produced by Darcy Yates, the album is a massive step forward for both Martin and Delta Sugar. Over the course of the project’s ten tracks, every song written by Martin solo or in tandem with Curtis Chaffey or Suzie Vinnick, the album explores the full range of the vicissitudes of love: desire, betrayal and, at times, emotional and sexual satisfaction. As a collective, the songs reflect remarkable growth on Martin’s part as a songwriter. The lyrics are incisive, the melodies are constantly arresting and the harmonies and arrangements call up the best of the soul sounds of Stax Records and such contemporary artists as Leon Bridges, Sharon Jones, and Lee Fields.

2018 release. Cleave is the fifteenth studio album by the band Therapy?, and the first album to be released on new UK label Marshall Records, part of the Marshall Amplification company.
