"Santana (III)" is Santana's third studio album and was released in September 1971. It is often referred to simply as "III" or as "Man with An Outstretched Hand". The third and last album by the same members who played at Woodstock, it has been considered by many to be the band's peak, musically. The album was the last Santana album to reach #1 on the charts until Supernatural in 1999. This original Japanese release becomes available as SA-CD Multi Hybrid edition for the first time in the world. The SACD layer uses a DSD master converted from the original "Quadraphonic (4ch)" master. The CD layer uses 2ch mix master from SACD (latest remastering). Features a 7-inch mini LP cover artwork.

Pianist Ikuyo Nakamichi is known for her Beethoven performances, but she has also performed Chopin's piano music with multimedia accompaniment and, occasionally, Debussy. This set of the Preludes and Images, with a vigorous concluding L'isle joyeuse, isn't exactly the kind one would pick for a multimedia presentation, for Nakamichi doesn't lean heavily on the atmospherics. When she deploys abundant pedaling, it's in the service of images that are specifically supposed to be hazy in some way, as in La cathédrale engloutie or Cloches à travers les feuilles.

One of the biggest-selling jazz albums of all time, not to mention bossa nova's finest moment, Getz/Gilberto trumped Jazz Samba by bringing two of bossa nova's greatest innovators – guitarist/singer Joao Gilberto and composer/pianist Antonio Carlos Jobim – to New York to record with Stan Getz. The results were magic. Ever since Jazz Samba, the jazz marketplace had been flooded with bossa nova albums, and the overexposure was beginning to make the music seem like a fad. Getz/Gilberto made bossa nova a permanent part of the jazz landscape not just with its unassailable beauty, but with one of the biggest smash hit singles in jazz history – 'The Girl from Ipanema,' a Jobim classic sung by Joao's wife, Astrud Gilberto, who had never performed outside of her own home prior to the recording session.

Birds of Fire is the second studio album by jazz fusion band the Mahavishnu Orchestra. It was released in January 1973, by Columbia Records and is the last studio album released by the original band line-up before it dissolved. The album consists solely of compositions by John McLaughlin. These include the track "Miles Beyond (Miles Davis)", which McLaughlin dedicated to his friend and former bandleader. The back cover of the album features the poem "Revelation" by Sri Chinmoy. In addition to the standard two-channel stereo album there was also a four-channel quadraphonic version released during the 1970s.
