In fact, to become a true master, you've got to hone your chops and dedicate beaucoup hours (and cash) building and mastering your rig. Ivana Baiul was head of Project Genesis for International Operations and was responsible for creating Gen 13. But when they found out her true intentions, Ivana was forced to flee. Ivana took a group of Gen-Actives with her and created her own Gen-Active team called DV8 (short for “The Deviants”). Now Ivana manipulates these kids to further her own agenda. But whether or not DV8 will allow her to continue this if they find out is another matter entirely.

All at once, the arrival of the final issue of Brian Wood and Rebekah Isaac's should be considered one of the best and worst days of your life. Best, obviously, because the epic story contained inside comes to its sure-to-be-stunning conclusion, and worst, well... for the exact same reason. I've said a hundred times over that Gods and Monsters is a shoe-in for the mini-series of the year (read my review of DV8: Gods and Monsters #7), and I have no doubt that issue #8 will prove it once and for all. --
