Dec Burke former guitarist/ vocalist with acclaimed UK progressive rockers Frost* as well as Dilemma, Audio Plastik, Darwin’s Radio and numerous solo projects, is back with a brand new solo album, released in September 2021. Life In Two Dimensions is an album of our times, written against the backdrop of the UK lockdown throughout 2020. It covers themes of loss, hope, excitement, and the modern world of endless advertising and materialism. The music is powerful, guitar driven with songs ranging in direction from melodic ballad rock, through all out immediate rock, to complex and progressive.

To avoid any lingering confusion right from the outset, you may already be aware of this band because AudioPlastik began life under a different name or names to be more precise. Both Alpha Flood and Brave New Sky were trialled before the trio settled on the name AudioPlastik.

This is the fourth solo album from former GALAHAD member and bassist Lee Abraham and a host of guest players from the world of Progressive Rock! Given the ample musical and stylistic variety on Distant Days this is a disc that will have plenty of shelf-life.

How nice that Lee Abraham is once again a member of Galahad. The bassist-turned-guitarist had made some rather fine solo music since parting with the band almost a decade ago, and Colours continues that tradition. Regular bassist Alistair Begg, pianist Rob Arnold and drummer Gerald Mulligan remain in place along with a plethora of guest singers, though while prog remains Abrahams’ default setting, this time things are slightly different. After six albums his melodic approach now fully embraces a love of AOR acts such as Toto and Asia.

UK project Shineback is the creative vehicle of Simon Godfrey, also known as the frontman for Tinyfish. He started to work on this production in 2010, with a good handful of friends from the progressive rock scene helping out. Shineback's debut album "Rise Up Forgotten, Return Destroyed" was released through fledgling label Bad Elephant Music in the summer of 2013. "Dial" (2018) is the second studio album. Unlike its predecessor, "Dial" has no central story linking the songs, though the theme of communication provides a thread through the album…

Dutch/British melodic and progressive rock act Dilemma pulled a phoenix stunt on us and has risen from the ashes! Since their last gig in April 2012 the band disappeared from the public eye. But behind the scenes these guys have been busy with their new studio album: ‘Random Acts Of Liberation’, which has been mixed by Rich Mouser (Spock’s Beard, Transatlantic, Neal Morse). Founder and keyboardist Robin Z is still an important part of the team. So is drummer Collin Leijenaar (Kayak, Neal Morse, Dave Bainbridge, Affector), who handled the production side of things this time…

It was Thursday November 30th 2022. We took to the stage at the Komedia in Bath, our first UK tour since Dingwalls in 2017. We had our ever-patient compadre Rob Reed and his troupe of cheerful professionals in tow and not only did they have a load of top-of-the-range cameras with them, they had the talent and expertise to make us look presentable. We were determined to succeed and well…we only went and bloody did it, didn’t we? What we have here is that very film, on a glorious Blu-ray, and I hope you enjoy it as much as we did making it.
