In My Kind of City, Dittmar has organized his selected writings into ten sections with original introductions. Das vorliegende Buch gibt eine Übersicht über die Grundideen und Anwendungsvorteile des MPC-Konzepts. Es zeigt, wie mit Hilfe der Toolbox MPC-Regelungen entworfen, eingestellt und simuliert werden können.
The book is aimed at engineers in industry interested in the development and application of MPC systems, as well as students of different technical disciplines seeking an introduction into this field. This book gives an overview of the basic ideas and advantages of the MPC concept. It shows how MPC systems can be designed, tuned, and simulated using the MPC Toolbox.

Although Johann Peter Kellner received only a relatively brief training in music, he attained a quite considerable compositional level, not least because of his contacts with members of Bachs circle of friends. Until 1762 Johann Peter composed a number of cantatas along with his son Johann Christoph that have been brought together in the Schüler-Jahrgang (Pupils Annual Cycle).

Some utopian plans have shaped our cities —from England's New Towns and Garden Cities to the Haussmann plan for Paris and the L'Enfant plan for Washington, DC. But these grand plans are the exception, and seldom turn out as envisioned by the utopian planner. Inviting city neighborhoods are more often works of improvisation on a small scale. This type of bottom-up development gives cities both their character and the ability to respond to sudden change.

Hope? Time and again it is hidden at best. Consolation? A little, but it is subliminal at most. Sadness, grief, melancholy? These are present in abundance. Anyone who sets out to discover English music of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries will time and again stumble upon constants that left their mark on this music over an astonishingly lengthy period of time. The characteristics of melancholy may be found not only in the secular music of a Renaissance composer like John Dowland but also – several decades later – in the sacred music of two Baroque composers, Matthew Locke and Henry Purcell.
