Eden

In 1965, Bob Dylan goes from one English city to another playing his last acoustic tour, with a small but colorful entourage in tow: Albert Grossman, his manager, Bob Neuwirth, a friend from the states, performers Joan Baez and the new-to-the scene Donovan, and recently-estranged Animals drummer Alan Price. They practice, party, fend off reporters with elliptical questions, and deal with irate hotel personnel and drunken Northerners (sorry, Mr. Broughton). We see very candid settings where Grossman and another showbiz booker play telephone games to knock up the price on Dylan's appearances. Many snatches of music are heard in between Dylan's frequent hectoring outbursts at journalists.

Before there was Disneyland, there was Coney Island. By the turn of the century, this tiny piece of New York real estate was internationally famous. On summer Sundays, three great pleasure domes Steeplechase, Luna Park and Dreamland–competed for the patronage of a half-million people. By day it was the world's most amazing amusement park, by night, an electric "Eden".

A couple lose their young son when he falls out the window while they have sex in the other room. The mother's grief consigns her to hospital, but her therapist husband brings her home intent on treating her depression himself. To confront her fears they go to stay at their remote cabin in the woods, "Eden", where something untold happened the previous summer. Told in four chapters with a prologue and epilogue, the film details acts of lustful cruelty as the man and woman unfold the darker side of nature outside and within.

A vampire epidemic has swept across what is left of the nation's abandoned towns and cities, and it's up to Mister, a death dealing, rogue vampire hunter, to get Martin safely north to Canada, the continent's New Eden.

Two men with questionable pasts, Glyn McLyntock and his friend Cole, lead a wagon-train load of homesteaders from Missouri to the Oregon territory. They establish a settlement outside of Portland and as winter nears, it is necessary for McLyntock and Cole to rescue and deliver food and supplies being held in Portland by corrupt officials. On the trip back to the settlement, up river and over a mountain, Cole engineers a mutiny to divert the supplies to a gold mining camp for a handsome profit.

A beautiful blonde hooks up with a rock star, and after a night of sex and drugs, he leaves. She, though, has fallen madly in love with him, and sets out with her girlfriend across Europe to track him down. On the way, however, she gets mixed up with everyone from a gang of nasty bikers to a ring of devil worshipers.

Based on his award-winning student short, George Lucas's debut feature cerebrally celebrates the possibility for individual freedom against all odds. In an underground, totalitarian society in the future, sexuality has been outlawed and constant sedation of men and women is mandatory. But THX 1138 and his female roommate LUH 3417 have been cutting back on their medications and have fallen in love, so THX 1138 is imprisoned for drug evasion and misconduct of a sexual nature. With help from an inmate, THX 1138 breaks out to find LUH3417 who is pregnant. Because the funding for fugitive pursuits are quite limited, THX 1138 will survive if he can evade the robocops, but his vehicle keeps overheating and surveillance is everywhere.

Admiral Harriman Nelson is a designer of the submarine Seaview, a glass-nosed research submarine. The sub embarks on her shakedown cruise under the polar ice cap as the movie begins. Upon surfacing, however, the crew discovers that the entire sky is on fire - the Van Allen radiation belt has been ignited by a freak meteor shower, and the Earth is being slowly burnt to a cinder. Nelson and his colleague, Commodore Lucius Emery, devise a plan to extinguish the belt.
