They are all representatives of a musical movement with the name "New wave" (Neo kyma), that started in mid sixties and lasted for a decade. The songs were soft and tender ballads arranged mainly for voice and guitar. The singers were performing in small halls named "boites" (after the french word for the box) and often the people in the audience were singing with them.
