A sextet, Aurra featured the vocals of Starlena Young and Curt Jones. Originally released in 1981, none of the set's nine cuts come in under four minutes, but then there are no nine-minute workouts either. The reggae-influenced "Kingston Lady" and their disjointed, disco hit "Are You Single" are the most memorable selections. Every song is pleasant, but often indistinguishable from the rest; if your mind wanders you have to consult the track listing to check what tune is playing and which one you just heard.

Of all the bands that were unjustly overlooked in the early 1990's, none deserved the spotlight more than Tyketto. The band's debut album Don't Come Easy was an AOR/melodic rock masterpiece, embodying everything good about that style of music, and should have vaulted the band into the same arena as bands like Damn Yankees, Bad English, Firehouse, and Giant. Instead they went largely unnoticed…

Neil Young is rightly regarded as one of the most influential singer-songwriters, ranking with Bob Dylan and Paul McCartney in influence and prolificacy. And much like the other two, he has amassed an extensive archive of unpublished and unreleased songs which he’s begun to touch with his massive Archive series of box sets. Road Of Plenty is perhaps the most ambitious unofficial Neil Young release in recent memory. It is a comprehensive six disc collection of songs which have never been released (and probably never will). A majority are sourced from excellent live audience recordings (since that is the only source we have for them), but there are other excellent quality studio outtakes included as well.
