These sixteen tracks are split equally between Sonny Boy Williamson II and pianist Willie Love, who befriended each other in the early 40s, and recorded a number of sides for Trumpet records. All eight Sonny Boy-numbers are previously unreleased, and the fidelity is very good, better than on Trumpet's other Sonny Boy Williamson-releases. Rice Miller (Sonny Boy) is backed by various electric combos. Three cuts feature Willie Love on piano, and Miller's harp blowing is augumented by the presence of a saxophone player on five tracks. Here are early vesions of "Keep It To Yourself" and "I'm Not Beggin' Nobody", as well as a great "Shuckin' Mama" and the piano-driven boogie of the title track. And it's no surprise that Miller's playing and singing is every bit as impressive as on his later Chess releases…

Formed in 2015, Rockett Love is a hard rock band with a fierce reputation. Their two albums showcased their raw talent. Swedish outfit ROCKETT LOVE around Stefan Westerlund (g, GRAND DESIGN) und Daniel Samuelsson (v, TWINBALL) are absolutely suitable for all lovers of good times spreading and highly melodic rock music with a massive eighties touch. Especially the cool guitars are pure fun and all hooklines are brilliant which will make you want to listen to them over and over again. Much like G. Love & Special Sauce, the New York trio known as Fun Lovin' Criminals hit the alternative airwaves with a blend of hip-hop beats, alternative style, and bluesy rhythms. The group was formed in 1993 by bassist Brian Leiser (Fast) and drummer Steve Borgovini, who had met in Syracuse while going to school; the pair formed a techno group but later moved back to New York City, where they hooked up with vocalist/guitarist Huey Morgan.

Some albums deserve an expanded reissue. Some don’t. The Cult’s second album, 1985’s Love, is largely a work of genius. Despite the heady heights of success scaled by The Cult during the arena rock years, their second album Love is by far their best. Originally released in 1985, there simply isn’t a bad song on here, and evergreen rock anthems such as Rain and the iconic, She Sells Sanctuary are probably their best known and best loved tracks. Re-mastered from the original studio analogue tapes, this four-disc box set is a feast for fans. Aside from the original album, there’s a disc of remixes and non-album B sides, a disc of previously unreleased early demos and a disc recorded live in 1985 on the Love tour. Add a 48-page book with unseen contact sheets from the album photo session and a mass of other material assembled by Astbury and Duffy and you have the ultimate version of one of the greatest British rock records of the 80s.

Love were one of the most extraordinary bands to emerge from Los Angeles during one of the most remarkable periods in music, the dawn of the rock era in the mid ‘60s. Led by the colourful and charismatic Arthur Lee, they made only three albums in their original incarnation and were revered by many of their fellow LA musicians, including their label mates The Doors.This 2 CD compilation includes the best of their albums Love, Da Capo and Four Sail (the last featuring Lee as the only original member), and their masterpiece Forever Changes in its entirety.
