Olafur Eliasson has been pushing the limits of the sublime and the spectacular in his art for almost 30 years. From his monumental installation, The Weather Project, in Tate Modern's Turbine Hall in 2003 to his recent interventions in climate change and global migration, his is an art which strives to change the world every step of the way.

This documentary is about sailing the arctic seas and how global warming is affecting natural living in the small communities as well as fauna life. The focus is primarily on three men who are friends that decide to leave their homes for the summer and take an adventure.

"Earth: The Power of the Planet" highlights the major events which have shaped the Earth's history and allowed life to flourish. Presented by Dr Iain Stewart, each episode will reveal a different force critical to the development of Earth including volcanoes, the ocean, the atmosphere and ice. The series follows Dr Stewart's personal journey to some of the most remote places on the planet, from abseiling down into a lava lake in Ethiopia to cave diving in the underwater caverns left by the impact of the meteorite that wiped out the dinosaurs.

Documentary that follows a lone Inuit as he hunts, fishes and constructs an igloo. It tells the story of skills that are disappearing and of how climate change is affecting the lives of Greenland's indigenous people.

In part 2 Steve sets out to become the first person to reach the summit of a mountain in Greenland's Arctic wilderness, an expedition threatened by the impact of climate change.

In each programme, buildings from all over the world are dramatically juxtaposed, revealing unexpected connections between very different types of architecture.
