The Original Human Being is Blue Cheer's fifth album. It was released in 1970 and shows Blue Cheer exploring a more psychedelic and laid‑back rock and roll with horn sections on a few of the songs. This album features a very unusual, and different, song for Blue Cheer: "Babaji (Twilight Raga)", which features extensive use of sitar and synthesizer. These instruments were only used one other time in the song "I'm the Light" on the album Oh! Pleasant Hope.

Human Feel's sophomore album, Scatter, is filled with tremendous and passionately performed avant jazz, but its importance comes mainly from being the first widely available CD (thanks to Gunther Schuller's GM Recordings label) featuring then-newcomers Kurt Rosenwinkel (guitar), Chris Speed (tenor sax), Andrew D'Angelo (alto sax), and Jim Black (drums). The presence of bassist Joe Fitzgerald is also noteworthy for a couple of reasons: he's a highly skilled and expressive player here (as he would also prove years later in Ballin' the Jack, and he left Human Feel after this CD and was not replaced.

Similar to his work with Savvas Ysatis as SETI, Taylor Deupree's Human Mesh Dance project explores an isolationist headspace comprised of psychedelic soundscapes with minimal beatwork and carefully hoarded samples. The debut "Hyaline" was released in 1993 on Instinct Records, the label which issues many of Deupree's various aliases (and also employs him as graphic designer). One year later, second album "Mindflower" appeared, followed in 1997 by "Thesecretnumbertwelve".
