This release reunites Cole with producer by Tommy LiPuma, who produced "Unforgettable" and was the hit maker behind George Benson and Diana Krall. This collection is a classic blend of jazz-inflected pop, with the best and the brightest in the business. Backed by a plethora of stars, including trumpeter Roy Hargrove, bassist Christian McBride, pianist Joe Sample, and drummer Lewis Nash, Cole's lithe, Ella Fitzgerald-tinged vocals are showcased in a number pleasing settings.

Jazz drummer Jimmy Cobb was born in Washington, D.C. in 1929.

A rising star and musical hero, jaz guitarist Andreas Varady plays with incredible finesse and confidence; his age, 16, makes his approach downright startling. This guitarist also stands out from many veteran musicians. He's performed at the Montreux Jazz Festival in front the festival’s legendary founder, the late Claude Nobs, and world renowned producer Quincy Jones, who has since taken Varady on as a protégé. Varady’s omnivorous repertoire includes jazz standards, rock staples, pop selections (including a Justin Bieber tune) and Varady’s original compositions. David Paich (Toto) produced along with Jay Oliver and Dirty Loops.

For Cedar Walton's debut on the Astor Place label, the widely respected veteran pianist contributed all nine selections. Although his "Bolivia" is a jazz standard, Walton is not normally thought of as a major composer. However quite a few of his new pieces could possibly become standards in the future if jazz improvisers explore this disc.

Jazz drummer Jimmy Cobb is perhaps most famous in his role as the backbone to Miles Davis's best albums, but the unstoppable Cobb is also an excellent band leader in his own right, as evidenced here.
