A thief awakens Valerie, just 13, taking earrings left to her by her mother. By morning, the earrings have been returned, Valerie's first period has begun, and a troupe and a missionary have arrived in her Medieval town. The thief is Orick; he reports to a cloaked constable who may also be the missionary. Attention to sexuality is everywhere: Valerie's grandmother's puritanical nature, the missionary's sermon to the town's virgins, the parish priest's attempt to seduce Valerie, and lusty adults at play. Valerie's nascent sexuality puts her in great danger. Can she navigate the passage from innocence to experience, a route teaming with vampires, a murderer, and an obscure family tree?

This made-for-TV shocker had been influenced by a true story which occurred in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Housewife Jessica Rayner (Joanne Kerns form TV's Growing discomforts) becomes the latest in a lengthy range of sufferers when this woman is attacked inside her own residence by a vicious serial rapist and murderer just who preys on blondes. The distinction is that Jessica manages to endure the attack the first victim to do therefore. Despite Jessica's a testimony and trail of clues, the authorities seem unable of tracking down her assailant, forcing Jessica's spouse Dan (Anthony John Denison) to militantly protect his wife round the clock. But it's eventually Jessica by herself whom must devise the trap that will bring her attacker to justice.

On August 4, 1936, General Metaxas declared martial law in Greece. A union leader using the name Boutros is sought in Athens by Primoukis, a ruthless police leader. Boutros narrowly escapes and, early the next morning, jumps through the window of Marchese Margot Santorini, the wealthy Austrian-born wife of Rico, a penniless Italian diplomat and playboy. Margot is bored and without purpose: aiding Boutros's escape invigorates her, and soon she is in love. The film briefly jumps to 1945 when Rico and Raoul (who assisted her out of love) meet in France to talk about her fate, and then jumps 30 years to Margot's daughter's visit to Greece to find out about her father.

In this film, 'Her' refers to both Paris, the character of Juliette Janson and the actress playing her, Marina Vlady. The film is a kind of dramatised documentary, illustrating and exaggerating the emotionless lives of characters in the new Paris of the 60s, where commercialism mocks families getting by on small incomes, where prostitution is a moneyspinning option, and where people are coldly resigned and immune to the human nightmares of Vietnam, and impending Atomic war.
