The TV show presented here, which opens with Pass playing alone on six wonderful tunes, was made during a European tour that took place some months before the recording of their second album as a duet, titled precisely Fitzgerald & Pass… Again, taped on february 8, 1976. Thus, it presents some tunes that would be part of that lp, making this program (and probably the whole tour) a kind of rehearsal for the songs to be included on the studio album. That's the case of "One Note Samba", "Nature Boy", "The One I Love (Belongs to Somebody Else)". However, we have also here the only known versions by Ella and Joe as a duet of no less than six songs. That's the case of "You turned the tables on me", "Cry Me a River", "You Are the Sunshine of My Life", "Avalon", "Stormy Weather" and the classic "How High the Moon", with which Ella closes the show inserting quotations of, among others, "Mack the Knife", "Desafinado" and "Summertime".

Material from the Dave Brubeck Trio & Quartet Fantasy era recorded during the period of 1949 - 1954. The 4 CD release includes an integral booklet in several languages.
In the 1950s and '60s, few American jazz artists were as influential, and fewer still were as popular, as Dave Brubeck. At a time when the cooler sounds of West Coast jazz began to dominate the public face of the music, Brubeck proved there was an audience for the style far beyond the confines of the in-crowd, and with his emphasis on unusual time signatures and adventurous tonalities, Brubeck showed that ambitious and challenging music could still be accessible…
A decade after their last studio release, Yes has issued Fly from Here, and it's not only a keeper, but as good as any record to come from the group since 1974. Consisting here of Chris Squire (bass, vocals), Steve Howe (guitars, vocals), Alan White (drums), Geoff Downes (keyboards), and Benoit David (lead vocals), and with Trevor Horn producing, an obvious connection can be made between this album and 1980's Drama. But Fly from Here is a long way from that earlier album, even if the songs do possess a good deal of drama. Downright urgency is closer to it. Benoit David may not have Jon Anderson's range, but he makes up for it with deep expressiveness; and that, coupled with virtuoso-level playing and wonderfully elegant mixing of the vocals, allows this album to stand alongside the group's best work of the last 35 years…
Fifth Note is a new signing from the Frontiers label and is another band which is based in the Northeast region of India based in Kohima, the capital state of Nagaland. The group was started in the middle of 2019 evolving from the original foundations of a Christian themed band, though now they draw most of their musical influences from the secular Progressive Metal and classic old school Hard Rock genres of music. While Progressive Music can run the risk of being self-indulgent, Fifth Note manage to offer a sort of primal urge in their music still offering very catchy melodies and a very polished sound.
