The reissue will be released as a deluxe edition, equipped with 4 CDs and a Blu-ray in a mediabook. The set includes a remixed and remastered version of the original studio album, a previously unreleased recording of the band's 1997 performance in Grand Rapids, B-sides and bonus tracks, as well as a lovingly illustrated booklet with rare photos, new artwork, memorabilia and an essay that delves deep into the history of the album. The Blu-ray contains the album in hi-res, jam sessions and early versions of the album tracks, a "This Strange Engine" documentary, a "Live In Utrecht" bootleg concert recording and promo videos from the time of the album's release. Deluxe two CD / two multi-region Blu-ray edition of the classic album by Jack Bruce. Songs For A Tailor was Jack Bruce's first solo project to be released after the demise of Cream in November 1968. Eager to make his debut solo album distinctly diverse from the music he had recorded with Cream, it featured music which stylistically drew on jazz, folk, classical and rock influences. Joining Jack and producer Felix Pappalardi for the recording sessions at London's Morgan Studios were some of Britain's best musicians such as Chris Spedding, Jon Hiseman, Dick Heckstall-Smith, John Marshall, Art Themen and Henry Lowther. One session was also notable for the presence of George Harrison. 'Songs For A Tailor' was a chart success in both the UK and the USA and is now rightly regarded as a masterpiece and one of Jack's seminal works. This boxed set edition features the original 1969 album mix (newly remastered from the original master tapes), along with wonderful new stereo and 5.1 Surround sound mixes of the album by Stephen W Tayler (from the original 8-track master tapes) and previously unreleased session out-takes and demos. The set also includes the marvellous 1970 documentary Rope Ladder to the Moon on Blu Ray video for the first time. Originally screened by the BBC, this film features live performances and an insight into Jack's heritage, life and influences.

The blu-ray was previously only available as part of the excellent, but expensive, super deluxe edition of Who's Next, which was released just over a year ago. It features Steven Wilson remixes of Who's Next and 14 bonus tracks. Those bonus tracks are of the highest quality and include unedited versions of singles such as 'The Seeker', 'Let's See Action' and 'Join Together' Wilson has created Dolby Atmos Mixes, dedicated 5.1 mixes and new stereo mixes of all 23 tracks on the blu-ray with the exception of 'Bargain' for which the multi-tracks unfortunately could not be found (a Penteo 'upmix' was created for that track for the spatial/surround mixes). The SDE blu-ray exclusively features Steven Wilson instrumental mixes of the album and all the bonus tracks (except 'Bargain' for the reasons stated above). These instrumentals do not features on the blu-ray in the box set.

Frank Zappa’s epic 1975 release One Size Fits All celebrates its 50th Anniversary with yet another jam-packed mul-disc box set with 75% unreleased material. O cial Zappa release #131 contains four CDs that feature the 2012 main album remaster by legend Bob Ludwig along with a disc and a half of studio ou akes, work mixes and relevant Vault nuggets. A complete live show from Ro erdam, Netherlands ’74 is also included with bonus live tracks from the same legendary European tour. The live line-up consisted of the classic 6-piece band featuring George Duke and Ruth Underwood. Ruth also contributed new liner notes for the package along with historical essays by David Fricke and “Vaultmeister” Joe Travers. The 50th anniversary booklet also contains newly revealed photos by Sam Emerson accompanying the bespoke liner notes.

On September 13, Experience Hendrix L.L.C., in partnership with Legacy Recordings, the catalog division of Sony Music Entertainment, is releasing Electric Lady Studios: A Jimi Hendrix Vision, a deluxe box set offering 39 tracks (38 previously unreleased) that were recorded by the new-look Jimi Hendrix Experience (Billy Cox on bass, Mitch Mitchell on drums) at Electric Lady Studios between June and August of 1970, just before the legendary musician’s untimely death the following month. In celebration of the forthcoming release, on August 8, the City of New York will be temporarily renaming the portion of West 8th Street between 6th Street and MacDougal Street JIMI HENDRIX WAY. This is the block on which Electric Lady Studios was built and still stands. There will also be a media screening event inside the studio that night.
