Judas Priest was one of the most influential heavy metal bands of the '70s, spearheading the New Wave of British Heavy Metal late in the decade. Decked out in leather and chains, the band fused the gothic doom of Black Sabbath with the riffs and speed of Led Zeppelin, as well as adding a vicious two-lead guitar attack; in doing so, they set the pace for much popular heavy metal from 1975 until 1985, as well as laying the groundwork for the speed and death metal of the '80s.

Live In London will hopefully be the last of the Tim "Ripper" Owens-led Judas Priest outings. As of this writing in January 2004, the classic Priest lineup of vocalist Rob Halford, lead guitarist Glenn Tipton, lead guitarist K.K. Downing, bassist Ian Hill, and drummer Scott Travis are back in action and planning to record to and tour. This is an acceptable date featuring two CDs of classic Priest tracks and video footage, but even though it is an inspired performance, it lacks the sheer outrageousness of the Halford-led band. ~Allmusic

One of the most important voices in British folk music Shirley Collins returns with 'Archangel Hill', her third album for Domino. Due for release on May 26th 2023, it showcases another peerless collection of songs chosen by Collins, some from traditional sources but others from favourite writers of hers. Produced by Ian Kearey - Shirley Collins' musical director - the arrangements were shared between Collins, Kearey, Pip Barnes, as well as Dave Arthur and Pete Cooper, players from The Lodestar Band. All of the songs on the album were recorded last year except for 'Hand and Heart', which was taken from a live performance at the Sydney Opera House in 1980 and features an arrangement by Shirley's beloved and talented sister Dolly Collins.

HSI Records has released a soundtrack album for the faith-based drama An Interview With God. The album features the film’s original music composed by Ian Honeyman (Operation: Endgame, Redline, 51). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. An Interview with God is directed by Perry Lang and stars Brenton Thwaites, David Straithairn, Yael Grobglas, Hill Harper and Charlbi Dean Kriek. The movie is set in New York City and revolves around an up-and-coming journalist who is granted an interview with a man who claims to be God. The drama was released in theaters this summer through Fathom Events and is now available on VOD and DVD.
