Most of us, certainly those of us in North America, experience war from a safe distance, through what we see on television and read in the media, while the reality of war happens far away. Poet Suzanne Steele, however, gained a unique firsthand perspective on war. As Canada’s first War Poet, Steele joined the 1st Battalion Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry in 2009 during the war in Afghanistan, documenting her experiences in her poetry and at warpoet.ca. She saw the fear, the belief, and the sacrifice. She met people who did not come home alive. She met people who did come home, but broken, to a life shattered by post-traumatic stress disorder. She met their families, mourning, powerless. Her writings and experiences–stories we do not see on television or read in the media–provide the foundation for this hour-long concert work with music by Canadian composer Jeffrey Ryan.

Kristoffer Gildenlöw is a solo artist and a multi instrumentalist but mostly know as a bass player with in the progressive rock/hard rock/metal scene. Kristoffer has recorded and toured with number of great bands and artist over the past 25 years, including Pain of Salvation, Neal Morse, Kayak, For All We Know, Damian Wilson, Mr Fastfinger and more.

Composer Kate Soper releases The Hunt, a one act chamber opera inspired by a series of medieval tapestries known as "The Lady and the Unicorn." The work is scored for three sopranos who also play instruments onstage (violin and ukulele), and incorporates some of Soper's characteristic compositional interests, such as the use of diegetic music, into this intimate staging.

Razorlight were at the forefront of the indie-rock resurgence of the early 2000s, their biggest moments - 'Golden Touch', 'Somewhere Else', 'In The Morning', 'America' and 'Wire To Wire' - driving three Top 5 albums, nine Platinum album certifications, an NME Award, and live highlights including headlining the Reading Festival and performing at Live 8. After reuniting for live shows in 2021, the classic line-up - Johnny Borrell (vocals/guitar), Björn Ågren (guitar), Carl Dalemo (bass) and Andy Burrows (drums) - will release the new album 'Planet Nowhere' on October 25th, their first together since 2008. Razorlight preview the set by sharing it's first single, 'Scared Of Nothing'. Since reuniting, Razorlight have sold-out a headline tour which included a London show at the Eventim Apollo, and played shows as guests to Muse, Kaiser Chiefs and James. But as the ever ambitious Johnny challenged himself, "Who wants to be a greatest hits band?" So he hatched a plan, and late in 2023 booked a five-day session with the legendary producer Youth (The Verve, James) at his Space Mountain studio in Spain. Youth knew what they had to achieve, telling the band, "Razorlight's quite simple isn't it? Just a driving bassline, driving drums and a story."
