Looking at the cover, which shows Michael and none of his four brothers, one wouldn’t get the idea that this three-disc set is two-thirds Jackson 5 material. While Michael obviously features prominently in the Jackson 5 songs on The Motown Years, he gets one disc to himself. Altogether, this box collects all the essential J5 and Michael singles and more, including 'ABC', 'Never Can Say Goodbye', 'I Found That Girl', 'I Am Love', 'The Love You Save', 'Ben', 'Rockin’ Robin', and 'I Wanna Be Where You Are'. Released in the U.K., it retails for the price of a single disc and is a convenient way to scoop up a large quantity of high-quality ‘70s pop-soul.

Live In Tokyo is a bootleg CD by the Jackson 5 from the group's tour of Asia when they stopped in Tokyo on 22 April, 1973 at the Imperial Palace. This soundboard recording shows what they were about before Michael Jackson left the group, and shows the unity the brothers had at the time. Some of the dialogue they do with each other does not work fantastically with the Japanese crowd but it works for everyone else who get it, the it being brotherly arguments, fake or otherwise.

A stellar assortment of funky jams and sweet ballads sent this 1971 album to #11. "Never Can Say Goodbye" and the title tune soared up the charts; they join "I Will Find a Way"; "It's Great to Be Here"; "Honey Chile", and more, with truly amazing performances by young Michael.

The only Christmas album ever recorded by the Jackson 5, this 1970 release has sold over three-and-a-half million copies and features the brothers' hit version of "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town" along with several other holiday favourites and a couple of Motown-style original Christmas songs. Most of the Motown artists found time to record one, sometimes two or three albums for Christmas, and the young Jackson 5 were obviously candidates for being added to the list.
