SLIFT return with their phenomenal space rock album, UMMON. Composed during endless tours across Europe in 2019, conceived as the soundtrack of an imaginary film; UMMON is a dreamlike odyssey staging the Titans, their exile to the outer reaches of space in search of their creators and the return of the Titan Hyperion to Earth.
SLIFT kicks off with 5 nervous garage psych-rock tracks loaded up with fuzz mayhem and maniac beats sharp enough to knock your head off spinning with their hypnotic riffs. The power trio lined up on the front of the stage delivers a mighty wall of sound that sets ground on space rock grooves to get to those garage kraut drives carved with alienated psychobilly inspired vocals reminiscing of King Gizzard and the Lizzard Wizzard and Thee Oh Sees.
There is no denying that UK jazz has been on everyone's lips for several years now. Away from the hustle and bustle of music media focusing on London jazz stars, Levitation Orchestra was founded by trumpeter Axel Kaner-Lidstrom (Cykada). Best kept secret of the jazz scene bustling upon Thames. Only a handful of heads have had a chance to get acquainted with this unique project and their performances. The values and rules behind Levitation Orchestra are beautiful, simple and pure. None of the members is individually responsible for the orchestra's compositions. For them, creating pieces like this is somewhat of a ritual…

Affected by a distinctive style, they’ve been shaping a sound that has inspired a whole generation. Chillout is the musical genre, they had a big impact on - most of all with their contributions for the ground-breaking compilation-series Café Del Mar, above all "More Than Ever People" feat. Cathy Battistessa. For one part, "Essential Levitation" is a collection of 20 tracks on 2 CDs, which presents the best achievements of the team in 20 years. For the other part, it is new material which Levitation has produced for this release over the past three years…
Atomhendge, the home of Hawkwind’s catalogue from 1976 1997, continue their series of definitive reissued editions of these classic albums with the Limited 3CD Deluxe Edition release of Levitation. Recorded in 1980 and featuring Ginger Baker, the album was a classic work and spawned an equally legendary tour. Although Baker’s tenure with Hawkwind was brief, a concert at Lewisham Odeon in December 1980 was recorded by a mobile unit. Now remixed from the original multitrack masters this deluxe edition includes the entire concert (during which Sci-Fi author Michael Moorcock guested).
