Our story is about the return of the Little John band to the place of its birth, the San Francisco Bay Area, with fresh ideas, fresh material and a host of different personalities who came together to work on our recording project.

Continuing to revolutionize the modern understanding and expectation of R&B, Son Little delivers an unadulterated transmission of Black American music performed in its praying and pleading mother tongue. Conceived in a cabin overlooking the Delaware River in upstate New York, Like Neptune is an open and vulnerable portrayal of unbridled joy and self-acceptance. In this verdant space of freedom, Son Little transmutes the chronic pain of self-doubt into a beautiful opus about overcoming generational trauma, decorating the altar of the primordial blues and elevating the labor of healing to high art.

Little Dragon, the much-loved Grammy-nominated Swedish band are set to release their new album ‘Slugs Of Love’, on Ninja Tune. Released alongside the announcement is new single “Kenneth” a soulful, lo-fi tribute to a childhood friend. “It's about friendship and love” the band explain, “and the dirt of getting caught in bitterness and taking the wrong turn mentally”. The band have once again teamed up with Unlimited Time Only (who have previously worked with Khruangbin, Leon Bridges, Teva and more) for a stunning and playful video to accompany the track.

Following on from the acclaimed Elgar and Moeran concertos, Tasmin Little and Sir Andrew Davis continue their special affinity for British music with this exciting new recording featuring the music of Coleridge-Taylor, Wood, and Delius.

For Big Little Lions' first concept album, the trans-continental folk-pop duo take us from morning to night on AMPM. Over 11 songs the JUNO winning collaborators tackle anxiety, self-hate, the grind of daily life, the perils of parenting and the value of community and forgiveness. They charm with their intimate, clever and relatable lyrics, paired with the melodic lilt of indie rock and pop.

Elvis Presley may be the single most important figure in American 20th century popular music. Not necessarily the best, and certainly not the most consistent. But no one could argue with the fact that he was the musician most responsible for popularizing rock & roll on an international level. Viewed in cold sales figures, his impact was phenomenal. Dozens upon dozens of international smashes from the mid-'50s to the mid-'70s, as well as the steady sales of his catalog and reissues since his death in 1977, may make him the single highest-selling performer in history. This collection includes 21 albums, originally released between 1970 to 1977.

When Seattle band Tacocat-vocalist Emily Nokes, bassist Bree McKenna, guitarist Eric Randall, and drummer Lelah Maupin-first started in 2007, the world they were responding to was vastly different from the current Seattle scene of diverse voices they've helped foster. It was a world of house shows, booking DIY tours on MySpace, and writing funny, deliriously catchy feminist pop-punk songs when feminism was the quickest way to alienate yourself from the then-en vogue garage-rock bros. Their lyrical honesty, humor, and hit-making sensibilities have built the band a fiercely devoted fanbase over the years, one that has followed them from basements to dive bars to sold-out shows at the Showbox.

This second album by them is also from 1970, by most sources I've found. It's horn rock in a similar vein to their debut, but somewhat less commercial. Surprisingly, this is also slightly less appealing as well. Track B3 is the standout to me, the rest mediocre or worse.
