In 1994, editor James Brown spotted an opportunity to create a general interest men's magazine in a world fixated on yuppies and the new man. With a team of bucky young hopefuls, they birthed Loaded, a magazine that went on to define the lad culture of the 90s.

Built around the songwriting talents of Emma Anderson and Miki Berenyi, Lush successfully defined a myriad of 90s scenes such as shoegaze, dream pop and Britpop before they disbanded in 1998.

The choice of "Desire Lines" as one of two singles simultaneously released a few weeks before the release of Split was a bold one for Lush, a band who made their reputation on spiky noise-drenched guitar pop numbers.

Nothing Natural is the 1991 single by British alternative band Lush. This US CD5 features the title track, a non-LP track and an edit of the hit. This was released in the UK as an EP under the name Black Spring. "Noting Natural" and "Monochrome" would find its way on their 1992 album Spooky. This was released by 4AD/Reprise.
