In 2016 MIRUSIA’S audiences were spellbound by her soaring soprano voice and emotive, passionate presentation of her stunning Concert Program “This Time Tomorrow”. Her mesmerising performance of Mozart’s famous Requiem, Memory and Don’t Dry for Me Argentina was unforgettable and left many of her audience in tears. In this her first major National Tour, MIRUSIA performed at 26 Australian venues in every mainland Australian State. This amazingly talented young lady also managed to tour internationally with André Rieu where she featured in his major spectaculars.

Mirusia is an Australian-Dutch soprano and has gained worldwide fame as soloist with Andre Rieu. She studied opera at the Queensland Conservatorium in Australia and at the age of 21, Mirusia was announced as the youngest winner ever of the prestigious Dame Joan Sutherland Opera Award. After this prestigious win she has gone on to win many more awards and break many records with Andre Rieu and as a solo artist.

“Under The Stars” contains 24 tracks and guest appearances by the South African Soweto Gospel Choir, The Harlem Gospel Choir, the St. Petersburg trio, local act 'Ziesjoem', Rieu's sopranos Mirusia Louwerse, Kimmy Skota and the Platin tenors in a romantic summer evening setting.

Re-creating the romance of a bygone era, violinist, conductor, and composer André Rieu emerged in the late '80s as a latter-day Waltz King, specializing in light classics and Viennese salon music. Seeking to capture the spirit and ambience of a 19th century Strauss appearance, he named his backing orchestra the Johann Strauss Orchestra and conducts while playing the violin as Strauss and his brothers did, providing the beat with his bow, instrument, and with his body, virtually dancing the rhythm. Rieu has written that he recognizes that the modern concert platform (with seated audience) erects a barrier between players and listeners that was not typically a part of Strauss' own appearances, and he actively attempts to bridge this gap and involve the audience in the music. Concertgoers have responded accordingly, and his performances throughout Europe and the United States consistently sell out.
