NOW Music is proud to present 60 more essential gems from the stellar Pop year of 1973 – NOW – Yearbook Extra 1973.
CD1 kicks off with two of the year’s massive #1s – Slade with ‘Skweeze Me, Pleeze Me’, and ‘Angel Fingers’ from Wizzard leading a run of unforgettable Glam Pop and Rock from T.Rex, Sweet, Suzi Quatro, Mud, Mott The Hoople and Roxy Music. David Essex scored his second Top 10 hit, and 10cc their third - both feature - plus ballads from Gilbert O’Sullivan, and ‘The Twelfth Of Never’ from Donny Osmond which was another of 1973’s #1s. Disc 1 closes with Gladys Knight and The Pips, The Stylistics, Jackson 5, The Spinners and Timmy Thomas with some of the year’s Soul classics.

Now That’s What I Call Music will release NOW Yearbook 1977 Extra, 3CD companion release to the original ’77 Yearbook that was issued earlier this month. This release showcases 62 more hits from 1977, including music from artists such as Queen, ELO, Paul McCartney, Leo Sayer, Elton John, Barry White, Rose Royce, Iggy Pop, The Jam, Elvis Costello, Blondie, Thin Lizzy, Hot Chocolate, Boney M., Showaddywaddy, Diana Ross, Shalamar and more.

NOW Music are delighted to present NOW – Yearbook Extra 1983 featuring 60 additional tracks from the stellar pop goldmine that was 1983. Released as a limited edition 3-disc set, we hope the collectors will find it a great compliment to their collection – and the more casual pop lovers will enjoy re-visiting some of the lesser-compiled hits from the year. Huge hits from legendary artists including Wham!, Paul McCartney & Michael Jackson, Elton John, The Police, and Eurythmics are followed by pop gems from Paul Young, Spandau Ballet, Culture Club, Tears For Fears and The Kinks. Blockbuster albums produced multiple hit singles, and ‘Extra’ allows us to include ‘Tell Her About It’ from Billy Joel, ‘Please Don’t Make Me Cry’ from UB40, and ‘Rosanna’ from Toto. Disc 2 includes some of the alternative artists who were becoming chart regulars - The Cure, Echo And The Bunnymen, and U2, and synth-pop stars including Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark, Japan, Soft Cell, and Heaven 17, plus New Order’s genre defying ‘Confusion’… before concluding with electro-dance from Shalamar, and ‘Maniac’ from the years’ huge soundtrack ‘Flashdance’. It’s all about pure pop to begin disc 3, with Agnetha Fältskog’s first solo single since ABBA, alongside Kim Wilde, Thompson Twins, Shakin' Stevens, Jo Boxers, Tracie, and Donna Summer’s collaboration with Musical Youth.

CD1 sets the stage with a blend of classic hits across multiple genres. Pet Shop Boys kick off with "I Wouldn't Normally Do This Kind Of Thing," followed by New Order with "Ruined In A Day" and Duran Duran’s "Too Much Information." Next come the powerful vocals of Annie Lennox with "Little Bird" followed by classics from defining albums: Sting with "If I Ever Lose My Faith In You” from ‘Ten Summoner’s Tales’ and R.E.M.'s "Nightswimming" from ‘Automatic For The People’. Up next are a stellar run of beautiful songs from Saint Etienne, Sade, Go West and Sananda Maitreya. SNAP! and M People scored huge Pop-Dance hits, and Heaven 17 and Visage saw remixed versions of their classics become hits once again. The album keeps the energy high with tracks from Suzi Quatro, Mud, Slade, and Mott the Hoople.
