Routinely selling for huge sums of money on the vinyl market and making its way into the collections of pop fanatics as far afield as Japan, Take a Picture has taken on a dynamic life of its own since its 1968 release, especially for an album that went relatively unheard at the time. It is not difficult to figure out what all the retroactive acclaim is about once you hear the sweet, delicate strain of gently kaleidoscopic music on the sole album from Margo Guryan. It is the soft pop of which gauzy dreams are made, full of the hazy changes and transitory variations of autumn, an album that you invariably want to wrap up in.

Presenting the world premiere release of the original motion picture score to the 1983 Paramount Pictures comedy classic TRADING PLACES, starring Dan Aykroyd, Eddie Murphy, Jamie Lee Curtis, Ralph Bellamy and Don Ameche, and directed by John Landis. Legendary composer Elmer Bernstein (THE GREAT ESCAPE, ANIMAL HOUSE, GHOSTBUSTERS, AIRPLANE) adapts Mozart s The Marriage of Figaro and compliments it with his own original material to create an impeccably elegant score that provides pitch-perfect support for what is considered to be one of the great 80 s comedies a social satire that is perhaps even more relevant now than it was upon its initial release. Produced from a 1/2 3-track LCR source in the Paramount archives, this special release also features source music from the film as well as alternate cues. New Intrada score-only CD features 74 minutes of rich, sumptuous Barry. Movie chronicles intriguing offer by Redford of one million dollars for single night with Moore, wife of Harrelson. Young happily-married couple see it as opportunity to build their dream house but story soon ventures much deeper. Love, jealousy, heartbreak all play roles. John Barry underlines all in signature 90's "nostalgia" style. Main theme is gorgeous albeit sad-tinged melody for piano, strings. Harmonies both major, minor play important role throughout. Two additional secondary themes further enrich haunting, sensual score. Romantic film scoring with hint of sadness became hallmark of Barry's final decade of composing. “The Mercy” is an upcoming British biographical drama film, directed by James Marsh and written by Scott Z. Burns. It is based on the true story of the disastrous attempt by the amateur sailor Donald Crowhurst to complete the Sunday Times Golden Globe Race in 1968 and his subsequent attempts to cover up his failure. The film stars Colin Firth, Rachel Weisz, David Thewlis, Ken Stott, and Jonathan Bailey. Johann Johannsson wrote the score.

Danny Elfman is currently scoring the upcoming dramatic thriller The Girl on the Train. The film is directed by Tate Taylor and stars Emily Blunt, Rebecca Ferguson, Haley Bennett, Justin Theroux, Luke Evans, Allison Janney, Edgar Ramirez, Lisa Kudrow and Laura Prepon. The movie is based on Paula Hawkins’ bestselling novel and follows a woman who is devastated by her recent divorce, spends her daily commute fantasizing about the seemingly perfect couple who live in a house that her train passes every day, until one morning she sees something shocking happen there and becomes entangled in the mystery that unfolds. Taylor has also written the screenplay with Erin Cressida Wilson (Secretary, Men, Women & Children). Marc Platt (Bridge of Spies, Into the Woods, Drive) is producing the project. Taylor has previously collaborated with Thomas Newman on his last two movies, The Help and Get on Up. The Girl on the Train will be released on October 7, 2016 by Universal Pictures. Good Morning… and Goodbye! is one of the movies from Russ Meyer's soap opera period. It isn't really a comedy as such; it's more of an extremely over-the-top melodrama. It's basically about a rich but impotent husband (Stuart Lancaster from various Meyer vehicles) and his sexually dissatisfied wife (Alaina Capri from Common Law Cabin) who, due to the lack of sexual fireworks at home, takes a blue collar lover. She does not hide this fact from her husband at all. This leads to all manner of confrontations where men and women talk harshly to one another Meyer style.
