As with the other volumes in Blank & Jones' 12"-oriented So80s series, the selections here are mostly from the first half of the '80s, and they balance major pop hits with relatively deeper cuts as a way to catch the interest of a wide listening base. This fourth volume includes extended mixes of Gang of Four's "Is It Love," the Cure's "Close to Me," and Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark's "Telegraph," as well as alternate mixes of ABC's "King Without a Crown," Propaganda's "Dr. Mabuse," and Act's "Snobbery and Decay." The CD edition contains a DJ mix from the German duo, while tracks are provided unmixed on discs two and three.
Extremities, Dirt and Various Repressed Emotions is the ninth studio album by English rock band Killing Joke, recorded in August 1990 and in November 1990 by record label Noise. This is the only Killing Joke album to feature drummer Martin Atkins (formerly of Public Image Ltd. and Brian Brain). The double LP edition features the track "Age of Greed (Live)" as a bonus, whereas both CD reissues also feature four tracks from a very rare 1989 cassette demo. One of these tracks, "Jubilation", is actually an early version of "The Beautiful Dead" and had been released previously on a flexi disc. Of the other tracks, only "The Fanatic" was known, having been performed live at several concerts in 1989. The Deluxe Edition featured all bonus tracks on a separate dual disc, with the DVD side containing the music video for "Money Is Not Our God".
Death Disco is centered around some of the post-punk singles that are most translatable to the dancefloor. PiL's "Death Disco," drenched in dread-filled dub as much as loping disco, is an obvious and smart choice. The majority of what follows isn't nearly as claustrophobic and dense, so in that sense the disc's title isn't wholly indicative of its contents.
Kicking off the band's twentieth anniversary year and ensuing celebrations in style, the album features 18 captivating versions of Pearl Jam's landmark tracks. Live on Ten Legs was recorded over the course of the band's 2003-2010 world tours by engineer John Burton.

As Omnivore Recordings continues to reintroduce this seminal band to the masses, Lolita Nation now requires a second CD to collect alternate mixes, live recordings, and radio sessions. The original’s 27 tracks are joined by 21 bonus performances! In addition to the highly sought after 8 minute version of “Chardonnay” and alternate mixes of other album tracks, the bonus material features covers of David Bowie, The Modern Lovers, Sex Pistols, Elvis Costello, The Smiths, The Stooges, Joy Division, The Hollies, and Public Image Ltd. classics. Truly as eclectic and all-encompassing as Lolita Nation itself, and just as revolutionary.
