Sister Vanilla's Little Pop Rock is a Reid family reunion, with William and Jim providing guitars and production along with the occasional lead and backing vocals, and sister Linda (who sang Moe Tucker on the last Jesus and Mary Chain record to date, Munki) on lead vocals. It's a Jesus and Mary Chain reunion too because long-time JAMC member Ben Lurie is on board as well. Unsurprisingly, Little Pop Rock sounds a whole lot like a Jesus and Mary Chain record. One with a low-budget, lo-fi approach, but still very much of a piece with their late-period output.
Other than a fine Whitesnake tune, “Rock &Roll Women” is the title of the sole and fan-fuckin-tastic album by the Aussie rockin duo of sisters Chrissie and Lyndsay Hammond. Apparently they were active from sometime in 1977 and they went on until sometime in 1982, with the sisters previously having done session work for several Australian artists including Jo Jo Zep, Jon English, Marc Hunter, Flash and the Pan and as a vocal duo some touring with Stevie Wright, Norman Gunston and Daryl Braithwaite…
Born To Be Wild is a three-part series telling the story of the rise and fall of the golden age of American rock from the late 60s to the early 90s. This was a time when singers were gods, guitarists were axe men and songs were anthems, forging the soundtrack to the nation one stadium at a time. Born out of revolution, it initially scared the hell out of the establishment but ended up becoming a multi-billion dollar industry and the sound of Middle America. It’s a tale of classic songs and big riffs through to spandex pants and huge hair. The series is set against a back-drop of three decades of seismic political and social change which American rock both reflected and ignored. The story is told by the people who were there, who lived it.
The best hits of a rock'n'roll from the greatest legends of the 50th. A rock'n'roll, the main world music of the 50th years, having appeared on dance floors and in airs, instantly I blew up rather quiet bog reigning then a rhythm and blues, a country and other. At concerts the public at last started rising with chairs and to arrange violent dances, girls for the first time started squealing and making a declaration of love to idols, and musicians - to move on a scene. And not so, as if they have all body in plaster, and is opened, is free and, according to hypocrites, in general even it is indecent.
The group's debut album, formed in 1970 by the legendary Alex Harvey before his "famous Sensational Alex Harvey Band." An excellent material, which felt the impact of the second group creator Ray Russell. Music Group - predominantly powerful and dynamic brass-rock with a slight slope in the blues and even jazz great. The CD-reissue added 6 bonuses, 4 of them - the alternative version.
The ten CDs are, so to speak, the antidote to our eroticly charged box '' Sex, Drugs And Alcohol '': Absolutely youthful, this new edition is full of romance, longing, love cries and the accompanying drama. The Rockn Roll era, which was otherwise so wild, has given us a lot of memorable love songs, which the young Elvis was so lucky enough to make on his first LP.
