Saint Etienne

Beloved British trio Saint Etienne are set to release their twelfth studio album, “The Night”, on December 13th, 2024, through Heavenly Recordings. A follow-up to their critically acclaimed 2021 album, “I’ve Been Trying To Tell You”, “The Night” delivers an ambient escape from the chaos of daily life, capturing the essence of the after-hours. The album takes listeners through layered tranquility, offering calm to restless minds and a gentle respite from modern life's relentless pace.

Saint Etienne return with their 10th album and prove they are still utterly essential. Saint Etienne have always understood that pop music is the nearest thing we have to time travel, the closest we can get to breathing the air of a different time. On this album, they take that theory to its logical conclusion.

After Saint Etienne's 35-year excursion through pop, International is their final album-length statement. A dreamlike drift with friends and collaborators, International features cameos from the higher echelons of pop — 80s chart heroes, electro, acid house and all points in-between — from Vince Clarke to Nick Heyward, Confidence Man to Erol Alkan, Chemical Brothers, Orbital, Doves and Xenomania, through to the lesser known, but equally exhilarating Augustin Bousfield and Flash Cassette.

This album presents a selection of Saint-Saëns’ incidental music and music from his operas.

David Sinclair Whitaker was an English composer, songwriter, arranger, and conductor who was most active in the 1960s and 1970s. Whitaker, who was born in Kingston upon Thames, collaborated with many prestigious British and French artists including Air, Etienne Daho, Marianne Faithfull, Claude François, Serge Gainsbourg, France Gall, Johnny Hallyday, The Rolling Stones, Jimmy Page (for the soundtrack to Death Wish II), Saint Etienne, Simply Red and Sylvie Vartan, and other international artists including Lee Hazlewood, Kings of Convenience and Francesco De Gregori.

Author of more than 120 works, Thierry Escaich is one of the leading figures in contemporary musical creation. His works, in the repertoire of such prestigious orchestras as the Orchestre de Paris, New York Philharmonic and the Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra of Saint Petersburg, are defended by personalities such as Valery Gergiev, Alan Gilbert, Lisa Batiashvili, Renaud and Gautier Capuçon, and Olivier Latry.
