Marie-Véronique Bourque’s second album Entre Québec & Saskatchewan was born from Marie-Véronique’s need to build a bridge between her identities as a Quebecoise and Saskatchewanian. Recorded in both provinces, it brings together original songs that refer to people, places and events reminding her of the roots she developed over time in Saskatchewan and Quebec, two provinces she calls "home". All musicians featured on the album have earned respect on the musical jazz scene including Jack Semple (Juno award winner). The album was produced with the financial support from the Canada Council for the Arts, the Saskatchewan Arts Board and the Conseil Culturel Fransaskois. Marie-Véronique also wishes to acknowledge the support from her distributor, the APCM and SaskMusic.

Volume 2 in the Joni Archive series - this one explores the period leading up to Blue through nearly six hours of unreleased home, studio, and live recordings. The tracks on Archives Vol. 2 have been sequenced chronologically to follow Mitchell in real time through one of the most creative periods of her career. The collection uncovers several unreleased Mitchell originals, including “Jesus” recorded in 1969 at her friend Jane Lurie’s New York apartment in Chelsea, which also served as the setting for the song “Chelsea Morning.” Other highlights include Mitchell’s performance at Le Hibou Coffee House in Ottawa on 19 th March 1968 that was recorded by Jimi Hendrix and a concert at the Paris Theatre in London on 29 th October 1970 that was broadcast on the BBC. The latter includes several songs destined to appear on Blue the following year: “Carey,” “River” and “My Old Man.”

A Canadian artist known for his fusion of blues, rock, and swing, Colin James rose to prominence in 1988 when his eponymous debut effort became the fastest-selling album in his country's history. A scintillating blues guitarist with plenty of rock appeal, James notched further hits like the Juno Award-winning "Just Came Back" before kicking off the '90s swing boom with a series of acclaimed albums leading his Little Big Band. Over the subsequent years, his recording output remained steady with a mix of blues, rock, and acoustic releases, and some touring.
