Un disco sin dobleces, sin trampa ni cartón desde el titulo, ‘Tribute’. Así es el último cd del saxofonista bilbaíno Víctor de Diego editado por el sello Quadrant. Estamos ante un disco de fuerza, a la antigua usanza. Un trio de saxo, contrabajo y batería sin piano desarrollando diez composiciones con aplomo donde se mezclan por igual clásicos y temas propios.
Jordi Gaspar al contrabajo y Gonzalo del Val a la batería son los compañeros de Víctor en esta aventura no desconocida para el, la del trio sin piano. El disco se plantea como un gran homenaje a la musica que ha hecho vibrar a Víctor de Diego desde el momento que la descubrió, el jazz.

Unique! That is how the CD-box ‘Orgels in Nederland | Dutch organs’ can be described. An extensive project containing a book and some CDs, put together by Okke Dijkhuizen who participated in the organ recordings for EO radio many years. One hundred recordings of monumental big organs and also of some smaller and less known instruments. The book (both in Dutch and English) contains a general introduction of the organs, as well as some historical facts and the disposition of the recorded instruments. The editor has aimed at a diversity of organ-builders as big as possible and a balanced regional representation. The result is a fascinating selection, for lovers of organs a ‘partner for life’. Another stunning set from Harmonia Mundi in their rare 90's boxed editions of music from the Baroque and,as in this case, the Renaissance. Well renowned performers of period music jostle for attention on discs that range from "The Renaissance of the Mass","The Culmination of the Motet" "The Era of Polyphony", "the Golden Age of the Madrigal" to "The Instrumental Art" which features some wonderful Lute performances from Paul O'Dette. Composers include Gesualdo, Josquin Desprez, Claudio Monteverdi as well as many lesser known composers that prove to be very worthwhile discoveries.
