The story opens with Clayton Software's latest video game, Evilution, in its testing stage. The main characters are introduced: 24-year-old intern Laura Wheeler (Clea DuVall) receives the worst results of the game's monster which forces the development team out. Businessman Peter Drummond (Steven Culp) hires three new programmers: Former wrestler and criminal Hardcore (Tyler Mane), Bug (Jason Marsden), and Sol (Karim Prince) make weapons, sound and music, and artificial intelligence for the game, respectively. Faye Clayton (Colleen Camp) informs the developers of prize money of $1 million awarded to the programmer who makes the game the "scariest."

C'est le 16 novembre 2027, et l'on rapporte dans tous les médias à travers le monde le meurtre de celui que l'on appelait « bébé Diego ». Âgé de 18 ans, il était la plus jeune personne sur Terre et le dernier enfant né recensé. Theo Faron, un ancien activiste politique devenu employé de bureau, apparaît peu touché par cette nouvelle alors que le monde pleure le jeune homme. Il quitte un café à Londres juste avant qu'une bombe ne pulvérise l'établissement. Le gouvernement accuse les « Poissons » (Fishes), un groupe terroriste qui combat pour le droit des immigrés. Remué par l'explosion, Theo rend visite à son ami, Jasper Palmer, un ancien cartooniste politique, vivant à la campagne, et partageant son temps entre la culture du cannabis et l'assistance à sa femme catatonique, une ancienne photographe de guerre, torturée par le gouvernement.

Dr. Sebastian Caine (Kevin Bacon), a brilliant but megalomaniacal molecular biologist, works on an invisibility serum for the U.S. military. His current project is reversing the invisibility effect on his test subject, a female gorilla named Isabelle. Working late one night he solves the problem and is able to return the gorilla to the visible world. Although he works on the serum virtually non-stop, he still finds time to obsess about his ex-girlfriend Linda McKay (Elisabeth Shue), another scientist on his team, who, unbeknownst to Sebastian, is currently dating Matt Kensington (Josh Brolin), yet another team member. Sebastian and his team, that also includes animal vets Sarah Kennedy (Kim Dickens) and Carter Abbey (Greg Grunberg) and technicians Frank Chase (Joey Slotnick) and Janice Walton (Mary Randle) eventually do figure out how to get the serum to work on animals, bringing the gorilla back to visibility. Afterwards, the team eagerly looks forward to obtaining clearance for clinical trials on humans.

Un brillant scientifique, Sebastian Caine, travaille pour les services secrets. Il vient de mettre au point une formule pour rendre invisible. Apres l'avoir testee avec succes sur lui-meme, il s'apercoit qu'il ne peut plus inverser le phenomene. Ses collegues tentent alors de trouver une solution. Mais Caine devient de plus en plus obsede par son nouveau pouvoir et se persuade peu a peu que ses collegues en veulent a sa vie.

2001: A Space Odyssey is a 1968 science fiction film directed by Stanley Kubrick, written by Kubrick and Arthur C. Clarke. The film deals with thematic elements of human evolution, technology, artificial intelligence, and extraterrestrial life, and is notable for its scientific realism, pioneering special effects, ambiguous and often surreal imagery, sound in place of traditional narrative techniques, and minimal use of dialogue. Despite receiving mixed reviews upon release, 2001: A Space Odyssey is today recognized by many critics and audiences as one of the greatest films ever made; the 2002 Sight & Sound poll of critics ranked it among the top ten films of all time.[1] It was nominated for four Academy Awards, and received one for visual effects. In 1991, it was deemed "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant" by the United States Library of Congress and selected for preservation in their National Film Registry.

Kubrick s'essaie à un nouveau genre : la science-fiction. Il lut la nouvelle d'Arthur C. Clarke et rencontra son auteur en 1964. Kubrick réunit une imposante équipe. Ainsi 25 spécialistes des effets spéciaux (dont Harry Lange et Frederick Ordway, tous deux issus de l'industrie spatiale), 35 décorateurs de plateau et 70 autres techniciens furent employés pour le tournage. La salle de commande de Discovery nécessita un fort investissement financier. En effet l'équipe du film dut construire une centrifugeuse gigantesque pesant près de 30 tonnes, d'un coût de 750 000 $[2]. Le tournage commença le 29 décembre 1965 (la scène concernée est la découverte du monolithe dans le cratère Tycho). Le tournage se déroula sur 7 mois et la postproduction nécessita encore deux ans de travail. Alors que le budget initialement prévu était de 6 millions $, il dépassa les 10 millions $[3], ce qui s'explique, en partie, par l'utilisation d'effets spéciaux dans 205 plans du film et dont les frais allaient ultimement correspondre à 60% du budget total du film. Le directeur de la MGM, Robert O'Brien, prévoyait une sortie du film à la fin de l'année 1966 ou au printemps 1967[4]; mais l'avant-première n'eut lieu qu'en avril 1968 à New York.

Kay (Jones) had returned to civilian life at the end of the first film (with no memory of his past life), while Jay (Smith) went on with the men in black. When evil alien Serleena (Boyle) takes the entire MiB hostage, lone escapee Jay must convince Kay to help him save the galaxy. So-so effort suffers from lackluster script and doesn't have the spark of the original, but is helped along by solid performances all around. There are plenty of amusing scenes, mostly provided by the supporting players. Warburton is funny as an early MiB washout, Shalhoub provides some instant energy, and the talking dog does yoeman's work. Should hold up better on the small screen.

Après cinq années dans les « Men in Black », l'agent J, qui n'a toujours pas de partenaire, est confronté à un crime impliquant des extra-terrestres, qui n'est qu'une pièce d'un complot menaçant la Terre. Serleena, une extra-terrestre ayant l'apparence d'un top-model, est l'âme du complot. J décide de reprendre son ancien partenaire qui n'a plus de souvenir du MIB et qui a pris sa retraite comme employé des postes.
