Boston’s hard rock legends Mass have had numerous accomplishments over the years but most notably is the selling of over half a million albums worldwide! Mass are legends in the USA and have a good strong following in Europe where they have released eight studio albums on labels such as A&M, RCA, Enigma and of course Escape Music. They have worked with such producers as Tom Allom (Judas Priest), Jon Mathias (Joe Cocker), Tony Platt (Cheap Trick / Led Zep) and Michael Sweet (Stryper) who has also contributed to this very release. They have toured with Scorpions, Cinderella, Molly Hatchet, Tesla, The Ramones, Kix, Vince Neil to name but a few… Mass first started recording music in the early eighties and since then have released 7 studio recordings and with “When 2 Worlds Collide” this will be their 8th studio album.
With the Mass op. 54 for five solo voices and two five-part choirs and the Three Psalms op. 85, we present Spohr's sacred a cappella choral music. Spohr has also achieved something new and extraordinary in this field In the 1821 mass, for example, there are echoes of the Russian Orthodox liturgy which Spohr had become acquainted with during an early trip to Russia. Nothing academic adheres to the works collected here; it is rather expressive music of the highest content, and only Mendelssohn and Brahms were later to write choral music of similar perfection It is sung by the Rundfunkchor Berlin under the direction of Michael Glaeser and Dietrich Knothe.
Among the many things Eddie Vedder wears on his sleeve is his love of the Chicago Cubs. He was there during the Cubbies' historic World Series win of 2016, singing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" during the seventh inning stretch of Game 5, an honor for a fan who held the team dear since a child, but earlier in the season, he and Pearl Jam saluted the Cubs with a pair of August concerts at Wrigley Field. Let's Play Two is a concert film documenting that stand and it's accompanied by a live album, which is Pearl Jam's first mass-market live album since Live on Ten Legs.
