Steve Lacy has announced, his new album Gemini Rights, will drop on July 15, 2022 on RCA Records. Along with the news, the multi-artist has shared new single “Bad Habit”. Gemini Rights was written, produced, and mostly played by Lacy.

Trombone master Steve Davis pays tribute to the music of legendary jazz trombonist and brilliant composer J.J. Johnson, including rare Johnson gems as well as perhaps his most famous composition, "Lament". For SAY WHEN, he's enlisted the support of the very best - Eddie Henderson, Eric Alexander, Harold Mabern, Nat Reeves and Joe Farnsworth - to breathe new life into six Johnson compositional gems, as well as Cole Porter's classic "What Is This Thing Called Love", Warren and Gordon's "There Will Never Be Another You" and Coltrane's "Village Blues".

On this new release, Van Morrison and the guests selected and recorded some of his songs from the catalogue of 360 songs across his career. Deliberately steering away from his more well-known classics, Van enlisted some of the artists he most respects to perform these songs with him to re-craft and re-imagine them. The album was recorded in his home town of Belfast and London in the United Kingdom over the last year, using a variety of musicians and fresh arrangements.

When U.K. guitarist and songwriter Michael Chapman released 50, his Paradise of Bachelors debut in 2017, he'd long wanted to make an Americana album. He teamed with PoB stalwarts Steve Gunn, James Elkington, and Jimy Seitang, with longtime associate Bridget St. John lending her gorgeous plaintive vocals in support. Consisting of three new songs and completely revisioned selections from his catalog, it actually sounded (a lot) like he was fronting a rootsy indie rock band.

On The Very Thought Of You, Turre shows off a less celebrated side of his brilliant artistry: his moving, heartfelt way with a ballad. Luxuriating in timeless melodies and swathed in lush strings, Turre makes his horn sing with delicate lyricism and subtle beauty. Of course, the irrepressible trombonist can’t help but unleash his fiercely swinging side, peppering his ballad set with a few pulse-quickeners here and there.
