Willy Mason released an album in 2004 called Where The Humans Eat. This is the original pressing released by Team Love.

From Hand Grenade to Temporary Insurance, Team Dreschs highly emotive, tightly-wound and put simply, very loud punk rock was an unprecedented type of vehicle for which to deliver the bands profoundly prescient messages and identity, one that resonates deeply with our current times. That this music was made approximately a quarter-century in the past is an astonishing thing to wrap ones head around. That it went somewhat overlooked in its day is not terribly surprising, given that it was probably a little too ahead of its time, so to speak. Throughout the 1994 - 2000 timeline traversed by this compilation, Team Dresch created a song cycle that plays through with the intensity and influence of both Personal Best and Captain My Captain.

The acknowledged architect of the Nashville Countrypolitan Sound, producer/guitarist CHET ATKINS is known for his signature, finger-pickin' playing style. Alongside pianist Floyd Cramer, Chet was perhaps the most important figure in Nashville's celebrated 'A' Team of session players. This is the second release in a series which will similarly explore the careers further Nashville 'A' Team Session players, e.g. Hank Garland, Grady Martin, Boots Randolph, etc.

This reissue is a celebration of a record that sounded out of time in 2004, dripping in future nostalgia, and which twenty years on still sounds as unique and uncategorisable as it did when it arrived.

On October 13th, (Friday the 13th) Dirty Heads will release their 5th album in 5 years with Swim Team. It features 11 total tracks and will be released via Five Seven Music.

The noble idea of individuals spurning their selfish impulses can seem quaint these days. Stories highlighting such actions go far back in history and remain important reminders of both the highs and lows of human conduct. The legend of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table is an example of one of these sagas of our collective imagination. In it, saxophonist Logan Strosahl has found an intriguing vehicle for a planned three-part work, beginning with Book I of Arthur.

With an eloquence you’d hope for from a band made up of Cambridge graduates and an old-school penchant for slagging off their indie peers, London-based six-piece Sports Team have long given good interview. Pleasingly, their debut album suggests there’s enough musical substance to back up their fighting talk. Sharply observational lyrics skewering the mores of suburbia and middle England inevitably evoke the less boorish end of the Britpop spectrum. But where the Pulp and Blur of that era always sounded quintessentially British, Deep Down Happy more often takes its musical cues from US alt-rock, most notably the off-kilter melodies of Pavement and the boisterousness of Parquet Courts.

NNA is honored to bring you new music from New York-based songwriter, musician, and visual artist Alice Cohen. Artificial Fairytales is the artists 6th full-length solo album, joined now by The Channel 14 Weather Team (Adrian Knight and David Lackner) on additional instrumentation. Cohens extensive and diverse career in music has formed her work into the unique breed of sophisticated pop that it is today, utilizing synthetic funk, club-like atmospheres, technical compositions and inventive production to create a sound that is both vintage and modern simultaneously, fitting in seamlessly with the current wave of underground New York City art pop.

Kushkia does not resemble any piano trio in Korea. It's a unique title that puts a variety of timbres and heterogeneous themes into an unexpected composition, but if you try to understand it mathematically, it's a trap that Kushikia has struck. Kushikia pursues 'action' rather than emotion. Instead of pouring out intricate but intuitive motifs and trying to contain a lot of things, they suddenly throw their answers to a clear one (like a hook-shot) with a grim look. If you take that provocative action (rebound), you will notice the charm of Kushikia.
