Perahia formed the first incarnation of his full time group Joshua after quitting his studies in pre-med at UCLA in the late seventies. Joshua's 1983 Enigma debut, The Hand Is Quicker Than The Eye, preceded the Jeff Fenholt fronted Polydor release Surrender from 1986. After recruiting a new vocalist in Rob Rock (Impellitteri), Perahia returned to the studio and recorded the polished melodic metal of the critically acclaimed Intense Defense (which came out on RCA Europe in 1988). Seven long years passed – that included a stint in Jaguar with vocalist Robyn Kyle Basauri (Red Sea, Die Happy) – before he put together his new group, M Pire, and its full length debut Chapter One. Originally released on Long Island Records in 1995 (and soon to go out of print when Long Island went out of business), Chapter One was re-issued in 2001 on M&K Sound – under the new heading Joshua Perahia as opposed to M Pire – and for a second time in 2008 (but with the track “Bad Man” omitted).

Goombay Dance Band is a German band created in 1979 by Oliver Bendt, named after a small bay on the Caribbean island of Saint Lucia. Their music has a distinctive sound (somewhat similar to Boney M.), which is a mixture of soca, calypso and western pop. The group enjoyed greatest commercial success at the beginning of the 1980s, spawning such number 1 hits as "Sun of Jamaica", "Seven Tears" and "Aloha-Oe, Until We Meet Again". Goombay Dance Band built up a fan base across Europe and proved very popular in South Africa too, where "Sun of Jamaica" and "Aloha-Oe" entered the charts

It's been quite a summer for Michael Giacchino. The award-winning composer worked on the scores for three big films: Disney/Pixar's animated "Inside Out," the blockbuster "Jurassic World" and the action-adventure "Tomorrowland."
The 47-year-old New Jersey native won an Oscar for his emotionally resonant score of the 2009 Disney/Pixar film "Up," and his John Barry-esque jazz stylings for the studio's 2004 hit "The Incredibles" earned rave reviews.

This Germany-based theatrical band was in a similar vein to the more successful Boney M. They were led by Olivier Bendt, and included his wife Alicia, children Danny and Yasmin, plus Dorothy Hellings, Wendy Doorsen, and Mario Slijngaard. Olivier is by profession a fire-eater who learnt his trade in St. Lucia, West Indies. By 1980, the Goombay Dance Band was one of the most successful acts in Germany, and entered the UK charts with ‘7 Tears’. Originally recorded in 1980, it was only released in the UK in 1982 and, after many previous flops, its success was something of a surprise. It eventually went all the way to number 1, only the second UK chart-topper by a German act following Kraftwerk’s ‘The Model’. The follow up ‘Sun Of Jamaica’ fared less well and the band returned to Germany to continue their domestic success. However, occasional singles still received a UK release, such as 1986’s ‘A Typical Jamaican Mess’.

SEBASTIEN is a melodic power metal band with symphonic and progressive influences. The band was born on roots of another heavy metal group, NAVAR, with an ambition to catch the worldwide interest, in 2008. In November 2009 the band went to Grapow Studios (Slovakia) to record the album "Tears Of White Roses" which was produced by Roland Grapow (MASTERPLAN, ex-HELLOWEEN) himself! In November 2014 SEBASTIEN went to Grapow Studios again to finish the mix of the new album 'Dark Chambers Of Déjà Vu'. For the most part, it feels like a continuation of what they did on "Tears Of White Roses", using a very melodic brand of power metal with a strong use of keyboards, symphonic elements, and huge vocal melodies to serve as the foundation, while adding in various other elements throughout.

The success of a story often hinges on the art of the telling. Listen to vocalist Sara Gazarek with pianist Josh Nelson and you immediately see that to be true. These two use ripples of inflection to elicit tidal waves of emotion, uncover new wrinkles in the oldest of thematic fabrics, paint scenes and/or inhabit characters so deeply and convincingly that they blur or erase the lines separating true self from role, and willingly reveal all that this world has to offer—blessings, drama, and slings and arrows included. On Dream In The Blue, Gazarek and Nelson alternately elicit tears of joy and sorrow by moving from escape to reality, heaven to earth, and mirth to melancholy, reaffirming their collective position as one of the most arresting voice-and-piano pairings out there in the process.
