Several times Max Reger started composing a requiem. A year before his death, he succeeded in composing the poem "Requiem" by Friedrich Hebbel, a work in which he appeals against being forgotten, without any clear Christian references.

Johannes Matthias Sperger was born in Feldsberg in 1750 and trained in Vienna as a contrabassist and composer from 1767. He worked from 1777 in the Hofkapelle of the Archbishop of Pressburg. From 1778 he was also a member in the Wiener Tonkünstlersozietät, in whose concerts he appeared several times with his own works and as soloist. From 1783 to 1786, Sperger was a member of the Hofkapelle of count Ludwig von Erdödy in Kohfidisch. From 1789 he was employed as first contrabassist of the Mecklenburg Schwerin Hofkapelle in Ludwigslust.

Finnish composer Aulis Sallinen (b. 1935) celebrates his 80th birthday in 2015. As a tribute, Ondine is releasing the composer’s complete Chamber Music (I-VIII) series. This 2CD set of virtuosic chamber works features performances by, among others, the award-winning Meta4 String Quartet, Jyväskylä Sinfonia, cellist Arto Noras and conductors Ville Matvejeff and Ralf Gothóni, both of whom also appear as soloists. Written between 1975-2009), Chamber Music I-VIII are fascinating, passionate and memorably melodic character pieces, containing dance-like as well as humorous elements.

15 years after they broke up to pursue solo careers, the members of Bauhaus reformed for a limited series of live appearances. Though conventional wisdom would state that no one can serve two masters, Italian piano sensation Giovanni Allevi maintains an impressive career in music and continues to distinguish himself in the field of philosophy. Born in Ascoli Piceno on April 9, 1969, Allevi first pursued an education in music, earning high marks in piano and composition from the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Milan. Before entering the professional music world, he graduated cum laude with a Ph.D in philosophy, with a thesis titled The Emptiness of Modern Physics. Shortly thereafter, Allevi turned his attentions back to composition, releasing 13 Dita (Universal) in 1997.

Il porte le prénom d’un roi de légende, mais c’est sous le nom de Kazy Lambist qu’Arthur Dubreucq s’invite à la table ronde de la pop électronique depuis quelques années. A tout juste 25 ans, le jeune homme, qui sort aujourd’hui son premier album 33 000 Ft., a déjà un beau parcours derrière lui. Ses premiers morceaux lui ont valu d’être repéré et d’emblée adopté par Radio Nova (la chaîne a largement diffusé le titre Doing Yoga) et par les Inrocks (Kazy Lambist a remporté le prix du public du concours Les inRocKs Lab en 2015).
