Vocalist and Harmonica player Tony Holiday, now hailing out of Memphis, Tennessee, is a rising force on the Blues and Harmonica Scene in the USA and Europe. Playing 150-200 shows a year nationwide, Tony has been pausing along the way to complete his impressive Porch Sessions project. In the spirit of the great field recordings, Tony Holiday and partner Landon Stone have been traveling coast to coast, recording some of America's best blues musicians right on their front porch. For many, it's where it all began. This is deep, raw, blues, stripped down to its front porch basics.

And even though the big event wont air until Feb. 10, 2019 on CBS, seeing so many of your favorite artists vying for trophies is enough to get anyone excited for what's sure to be an amazing night for the music industry. As usual there are plenty of infuriating snubs and cheer-worthy nominees, even with the expanded number of nods in the major categories. Even if your favorite artist didn't make the cut, this is one award show that truly is unmissable thanks to the promise of unforgettable performances. On March 1st, Forty Below Records released Somebody Save Me, the new studio album from soul blues singer, Sugaray Rayford. At 6’5” this cigar chompin’ ex-Marine with a voice like a force of nature holds court in any room he enters. Possessing a magnetic personality, and an old school vocal style that echoes Muddy Waters, Otis Redding and Teddy Pendergrass, Rayford is also a stellar dancer with moves reminiscent of the legendary James Brown.

In March 2016 the band signed a multi-deal album with Frontiers Records and their now releasing their 9th full lenght of their career: The Passage. It is the culmination of almost 20 years of hard work that started back in 1997 with the release of their self-produced mini-album, Random Access Zone. The band went through several incarnations and lineup changes during the years, but since singer Mark Basile joined the group in 2007, DGM evolved and developed their sound into what they have now become..

Anabasis is a progressive metal outfit formed in 2016 based in the Central New York area. The original concept for the band came about after the ending of a fourteen-year run of the local prog metal band, Spire. Two of the members, Patrick Young and Jesse Peacemaker, were having Dave Reid fill in on drums for the last couple of shows. The intention was to have Dave continue drumming for Spire and, in the meantime, they would be seeking another guitar player to keep the band going. With all of the changes, it was in everyone's best interest to dissolve Spire and pursue other projects. Pat, Dave, and Jesse conceptualized what is now called Anabasis. Brad Devore, who originally auditioned for Spire, was added to the lineup on guitar along with Dylan Lundgren who they sought out after witnessing his incredible lead work at a show. To finalize the project, Pat recruited tech-master AJ Piszcz on bass.

Beginning with the haunting alt-pop smash “Ocean Eyes” in 2016, Billie Eilish made it clear she was a new kind of pop star—an overtly awkward introvert who favors chilling melodies, moody beats, creepy videos, and a teasing crudeness à la Tyler, The Creator. Now 17, the Los Angeles native—who was homeschooled along with her brother and co-writer, Finneas O’Connell—presents her much-anticipated debut album, a melancholy investigation of all the dark and mysterious spaces that linger in the back of our minds. Sinister dance beats unfold into chattering dialogue from The Office on “my strange addiction,” and whispering vocals are laid over deliberately blown-out bass on “xanny.” “There are a lot of firsts,” says Finneas. “Not firsts like ‘Here’s the first song we made with this kind of beat,’ but firsts like Billie saying, ‘I feel in love for the first time.’ You have a million chances to make an album you're proud of, but to write the song about falling in love for the first time? You only get one shot at that.”

SASAMI (Sasami Ashworth) has been making music in almost every way possible for the last decade, and between playing keys, bass, guitar within Cherry Glazerr and Dirt Dress; contributing vocal, string, and horn arrangements to studio albums by the likes of Vagabon, Curtis Harding, Wild Nothing, and Hand Habits; arranging for films and commercials; and even playing French horn in an orchestra - she has gained a reputation as an all-around musical badass. Now taking a turn to focus on her own music, SASAMI's self-titled debut will be out March 2019 on Domino.
