Following successful disco excavation from the Caribbean to South Africa, we booked a first class ticket to Narita to bring you the latest release, Tokyo Nights: Female J-Pop Boogie Funk: 1981 to 1988. This compilation presents 12 of the most memorable and sought-after songs of the era recorded by female artists. The music is a reflection of the unbridled optimism, technological achievement, excess and exuberance of Bubble-era Japan. More than catchy melodies and funky baselines, these are reflections of a time when Japan was the center - and future - of the world.

Genre: Classic Rock

SUPERB JAPANESE BROADCAST RECORDING FROM THE 1989 ONE FOR ALL WORLD TOUR After the European success of their previous album, E.S.P., the Bee Gees began work on their next record, One, in early 1988. In March, their brother Andy suddenly died and the brothers took a break until November when they returned to the studio to complete the album, but this time they shifted to Mayfair Studios in London, making One their first release since Mr. Natural to be recorded partly or fully in the British capital. The album was dedicated to the memory of their younger brother and the song Wish You Were Here was written as a tribute to him. The Bee Gees One For All World Tour began in Tokyo, Japan on 10th April 1989, and after covering dates in Europe, The US, Canada and Australia, concluded in Matsuyama, Japan, some 10 months later. The brothers show in Tokyo was broadcast live on FM Radio and is now featured for the first time on this superb CD, which includes the entire set played that cool spring evening by this mesmerising act, now more than 30 years ago.

Agitation Free were invited to play three gigs in Shibuya/Tokio some years ago, February 2007 exactly. It was a passionate Japanese fan who sponsored their mini tour. This also connoted the first band reunion since 1974, at least when speaking of the line-up consisting of Lutz 'Lüül' Ulbrich, Michael Hoenig, Burghard Rausch, Gustl Lütjens and Michael 'Fame' Günther. So this should be regarded as a sensation for sure, so much the more in Japan. The band has a relatively big reputation there, Hoenig and Lüül both are immortalized in the prog rock section of the Tokyo Tower Wax museum for example…

Three Nights In Tokyo was recorded over a three night stand this Norwegian four piece metal band played in August 1992. Most of these tracks are good, like "Purple Mountain's Majesty", the awesome "As Far As The Eye Can See", "10,000 Lovers In One", Le Tekro's guitar solo, "Seven Seas", the astounding rocker "Everyone's A Star".
