Every major war of the 20th Century has produced heroes of the hour - men who rose above the mediocrity to lead their fellow soldiers to victory, or sometimes defeat.

A young computer whizz kid accidentally connects into a top secret super-computer which has complete control over the U.S. nuclear arsenal. It challenges him to a game between America and Russia, and he innocently starts the countdown to World War 3. Can he convince the computer he wanted to play a game and not the real thing?

Shaw Brothers’ swordplay movies in their heyday were known for their epic qualities, but The Water Margin ranks especially heavy on grandeur and magnificence. The studio spared no expense in allowing their star director Chang Cheh to adapt one of China’s greatest literary works for the jade screen. The film is an ensemble piece drawing together the bulk of the studio’s top stars, in addition to a couple of Japan’s finest for leading roles. The story of righteous martial brothers labeled outlaws is perfectly suited to Cheh’s brand of cinematic storytelling, known as heroic bloodshed. With expert choreography from his best action directors who draw inspiration directly from the original book, a cast of hundreds, and wonderful sets, the film is truly an impressive sight to behold.

1878 in New Mexico: John Tunstall picks up young gun men from the road to have them work on his ranch, but also to teach them reading and to civilize them. However he's a thorn in the side of the rich rancher Murphy, as he's a competitor in selling cattle. One day he's shot by Murphy's men. Judge Wilson can't do anything, since Sheriff Brady is one of Murphy's men. But attorney Alex persuades him to constitute Tunstall's young friends to Deputies and give them warrants of arrest for the murderers. Instead of arresting them, William Bonney just shoots them down. Soon the 5 guys become famous and William gets the name "Billie the Kid" - but they're also chased by dozens of Murphy's men and the army. The people however honor him as fighter for justice.

Fritz Lang was in peak form as a Hollywood studio director when he made Man Hunt (1941), a terrific thriller whose title, like so many things Langian, cuts two ways. First, Capt. Alan Thorndike (Walter Pidgeon), celebrated English big-game hunter, is caught near Berchtesgaden just as he's drawn a bead on Adolf Hitler. Thorndike claims he had no intention to shoot, it was just "a sporting stalk" - a notion mystifying to his Nazi captors, who aim to parade him before the world as a British government assassin. There follows a harrowing escape, in a forest primeval straight out of Die Nibelungen, and now it's Thorndike who's the quarry, pursued across Europe and home to foggy London - not that he finds much refuge there.

Sisif (Severin-Mars) is the kindly railroad engineer who adopts the orphan girl Norma (Ivy Close). He raises her as his own along with his son Elie (Pierre Magnier). When they are grown, Elie and Herson (Gabriele de Gravvone) are compelled to fight to the death on a mountain top over the love of Norma. Elie dies when he falls after losing his grip on a tree branch, and Norma is turned out by Sisif who blames her for the death of his only son. She marries Herson but is left a widow within the year. Sisif becomes a blind recluse and visits the sight of his son's death on the one-year anniversary. He arrives with the help of his guide dog. Norma returns to help Sisif but is again turned away by the bitter father. She secretly helps the old man until he dies in this sentimental melodrama.

John Singleton's portrayal of social problems in inner-city Los Angeles takes the form of a tale of three friends growing up together 'in the 'hood.' Half-brothers Doughboy and Ricky Baker are foils for each other's personality, presenting very different approaches to the tough lives they face. Ricky is the 'All-American' athlete, looking to win a football scholarship to USC and seeks salvation through sports, while 'Dough' succumbs to the violence, alcohol, and crime surrounding him in his environment, but maintains a strong sense of pride and code of honor. Between these two is their friend Tre, who is lucky to have a father, 'Furious' Styles, to teach him to have the strength of character to do what is right and to always take responsibility for his actions.

Story of two sisters that grew up in a small Serbian village in the beginning of the 1930s. The village is torn up by wars and years long blood oath. There are no men left in the village. Our heroines, Ognjenka and Mala Boginja decide to go to the city, kidnap men and return life to their village. The lights of the metropolis dazzle them and there starts this little amusing and sentimental adventure.
