Bard has now been remixed from the original sessions by Rob Aubrey and we are pleased to make it available again on CD, vinyl and Bandcamp download. Bard will not be released on streaming or other download services.The Bandcamp version includes a PDF of the album booklet, including new sleeve notes by Andy Stuart.

Two Passengers and the conductor discover that a person has passed away on their Night Train cabin. They come across valuable diamonds on his person, that they wish to keep for themselves. So, to make it look like the man never boarded the train, they conspire to dump his body in a river that the train passes. Their scheme to get rid of the corpse escalates to the point where they have to chop up his body just to fit him into a small trunk. They then become paranoid, as they might turn on each other.

Long before the automobile was widely used as a means of transport, the railroad was the symbol of freedom, independence and adventure in America. "Go west, young man" was the typical saying for anyone who wanted to try their luck as a prospector, farmer or rancher. In 1869 it was possible for the first time to cross the American continent from east to west by rail. In addition, a suitable music began to develop, which consisted of folk, blues, rockabilly and skiffle songs. These songs glorified and celebrated on the subject of the lyrics only one thing, namely the railway. It was time to dedicate a double CD to these songs.
