Two Japanese jazz greats pianist Masabumi Kikuchi and percussionist Masahiko Togashi recorded “Concerto” in 1991 – quite prolific period for both (especially for Kikuchi who founded one of his most successful project Tethered Moon with Gary Peacock and Paul Motian right at that time). Released soon after, this duo album hasn't been noticed and became an obscurity. Many Kikuchi fans even don't know such release exists. In 2016 it has been re-issued in Japan so it is much more accessible now. Being mostly known as an object of discussions between collectors (as rule no-one of them ever heard its content) – is this album really all that good?
The High End of Low is the seventh studio album by Marilyn Manson. Manson first began work on the album with guitarist Tim Sköld. However, Sköld left the band when the vocalist reunited with former bassist Twiggy Ramirez. The album was produced by Manson and Twiggy (who dropped the Ramirez moniker) along with former Nine Inch Nails co-producer and keyboardist Chris Vrenna, as well as Antichrist Superstar (1996) and Mechanical Animals (1998) co-producer Sean Beavan. It was the last album to feature the band's long-time drummer Ginger Fish. The record received mixed reviews from music critics, with several publications praising it as their best album since Mechanical Animals; although others were critical of both its length and more personal lyrical themes…
Beyond Sensory Experience is a dark ambient music project created by Drakh and K. Meizter in Uppsala, Sweden 2001. The foundation of Beyond Sensory Experience developed during long intoxicated discussions about the correlation between numbers, music and life. These three areas would serve as the corner stones for the creation of the Beyond Sensory Experience philosophy. During 2002 episodes of different musical contexts were tried out until the final concept evolved in collaboration with the Italian label Old Europa Café. "Tortuna", which is the first album of a trilogy covering the three basic areas, is the result of an intense creative process performed in the nordic absence of sun and was released in early 2003…

The Swedish sound artist BJ Nilsen recorded under the moniker Hazard from 1996 up until this 2002 record as a means of investigating the physical and psychological effects that natural sounds hold upon the human body. (He's continued recorded in a similar vein albeit using his given name). The pursuits of sonic research are refinements of Nilsen's Industrial heritage which began with a handful of epistemologically grim albums as Morthond for Cold Meat Industries and has continued with the Janitor collaboration with Baby Doll Lima of Deutch Nepal. Unlike those projects, Hazard engages a stronger poetic sensibility in the digital processing of field recordings from snow, ice, water, wind, etc. The resultant cold, cold, cold drones dappled with rich, textured detailing always imply a malevolence within natural phenomena.
The first album by Benny Nilsen for Ash International. Benny founded Hazard in 1996 after a couple of years in several local ear-peaking guitar bands. Has since then been taking more and more interest in extreme weather conditions and its effect on humans - field recordings and the perception of time and space as experienced with sound.
