Enigma’s complete catalogue is set for a special coloured vinyl makeover. On 4 May, Universal Music will release The Colours Of Enigma – The Vinyl Series: all eight studio albums and the acclaimed hits package LSD Love Sensuality Devotion: The Greatest Hits as strictly limited edition coloured vinyl. Five of these albums will be released for the first time on vinyl: Le Roi Est Mort. Vive Le Roi (1996), The Screen Behind The Mirror (2000), Voyageur (2003), A Posteriori (2006) and Seven Lives Many Faces (2008). Only the debut MCMXC a.D (1990), which spent over 200 weeks in the US Top 200 Billboard charts, 1993’s The Cross Of Changes and the latest album The Fall Of A Rebel Angel (2016) enjoyed releases on wax previously.
As a 5 year old Charlie Mc Mahon made his first didjeridu sounds. Aged 30 in 1981 he formed the iconic band Gondwanaland and in 2007 he is still in demand. Charlie recently did his Rhythm Organism tour of 18 club dates in Japan. He has stayed relevant by inventing new ideas for an old instrument. Nowadays he mainly plays the pitch shift DIDJERIBONE amplified with the FACE BASS, a seismic sensor. Thus enhanced his didj sound is melodic and powerful as he layers multiple didj riffs to create songs with names like Wobblin Goblin, Resonate the Head, Giddy. Rolling Stone magazine compared him to Massive Attack and Gus Gus. Audiences gasp when he hits the mic beat box style and demos a riff breathing at 125 breaths per minute then breathes that speed on his Didjbone, maintaining it for the whole song.
