(August 21, 2008) – For organizations that need to close security holes created by the use of standard FTP, the VShell 3.5 server from VanDyke Software, Inc. now offers three new editions with FTP over SSL support. VShell 3.5 also improves configurability and expands logging options. Support for W3C extended log file format lets system administrators use third party log tools to analyze VShell activity. In addition, all log messages can be sent to a remote syslog or syslog ng server, or optionally to the Windows Event Log.

SecureFX for Mac OS X delivers complete functionality right out of the gate, with multiple protocols that include SFTP, SCP, FTP over SSL, and FTP. Advanced features include site synchronization and the ability to recover interrupted transfers easily. Integration with SecureCRT saves time with shared sessions and settings.

SecureFX provides faster, simpler ways to keep your sites synchronized with a synchronize database and an option to use active sessions for synchronize operations. Session management enhancements include the ability to search for sessions, hosts, folders, or keywords from the Connect dialog.
