Lady Lake is a Dutch band formed at the beginning of the Seventies, and whose name was inspired by the title of an album by Gnidrolog. Generally speaking, the whole Canterbury school seems to be the source of inspiration for the band, Camel and Caravan coming first. Its sole album "No Pictures" had already been re-issued in 1997 on the Musiphyle label. On this occasion, Lady Lake had reformed in order to record the bonus tracks included on the CD. And some eight years later, the Musea label eventually releases the second album of the trio: "SuperCleanDreamMachine" (2005). With an excellent clear and deep sound, these eight new compositions invite us to a delightful moment of vintage Progressive rock…
Finnforest were formed in the mid-70's by Finnish brothers Pekka (guitar, bass) and Jussi Tegelman (drums) with synthesizer and keyboard player Jukka Rissanen. Mostly influenced by the Mahavishnu Orchestra, their style also evokes early Camel, Finch and Caravan. Their music is characterized by energetic and spirited guitar/organ interplay, interesting compositions and very good vintage 70's jamming overall. Their eponymous album, released in 1975, is perhaps their most Mahavishnu influenced, with Rissanen sticking largely to his Hammond organ and using his synths sparingly, to mostly good effect. "Latho Matkalle" (1976), considered their best effort, boasts the contribution of two extra keyboard players, an additional bassist and a string quartet. You'll sense both a Mahavishnu and Weather Report influence on this one, which contains some mighty fine guitar work as well as some very good compositions.
Featuring 45 minutes of material that’s previously completely unreleased, this box set contains everything Finnforest recorded in the studio. It has the three rare studio albums originally released on Love Records in 1975, 1976 and 1979, plus all non-album tracks from singles and compilations. But we didn’t stop there: we dug through the band’s archives of tape reels and found some completely unreleased music. These sessions are compiled on the fifth album: first is the band’s debut studio session from 1973 and the flipside has four songs the band managed to finish during studio sessions for a planned fourth album in 1980 before splitting up.

The Amorphous Androgynous return with the symphonic, 40-minute prog space-rock concept album ‘We Persuade Ourselves We Are Immortal’. The album contains 5 epic parts, featuring the legendary Peter Hammill (the Van Der Graaf Generator) on vocals alongside a host of musicians including: Paul Weller (piano and guitar), Ray Fenwick (Spencer Davis Group/Ian Gillan) on lead guitar, Brian Hopper (Caravan/Soft Machine) on sax. The Chesterfield Philharmonic Choir and a 25-piece live orchestral string section round out this sumptuously-recorded album.
