is one of three American bi-monthly horror comic anthology series published by EC Comics in the early 1950s. The other two are and . Tales From The Crypt (and its precursor Crypt of Terror]) were already previously posted in AvaxHome. hit newsstands with its May/June 1950 issue and ceased publication with its November/December 1954 issue, producing a total of 28 issues. By then, mounting pressure from sectors disapproving of its contents (considered quite risqué at the time) and the imposition of a highly restrictive Comics Code compelled EC Comics publisher William Gaines to cancel the three comic titles.

The story is the climax of events that began with , which led to the decimation of mutants in the Marvel Universe and the middle chapter of a three-part saga, which continued in a seven-issue crossover with X-Force, . Reminiscent of the well-known Japanese manga Lone Wolf and Cub, the series follows X-Man and title character Cable, who is charged by Wolverine with the protection of the Messiah child, the first mutant born after the M-War, and their time travel adventures. is the name of three comic book series published by Marvel Comics based on the mutant superhero group The X-Men.
