Mozilla Firefox 3 is focused on improved memory handling, performance, and stability, improved XUL, and new core components such as application data stored in SQLite.Mozilla Firefox 3 could break a few existing extensions and applications built on top of Firefox, and it will definitely include new optimizations if you like to build on the popularbrowser. Mozilla Firefox 3 should have additional javascript and SVG features if you're into that sort of thing.

Label: XL Recordings | Release Year: 2016

Radiohead's new album A Moon Shaped Pool is available digitally right now, and the band have now detailed the album's physical releases, which are out June 17 and available for pre-order now. In addition to coming out on standard CD and vinyl releases, they've announced a special edition that comes with a CD featuring two bonus tracks and a piece of the band's actual, original master tape from one of the band's many recording sessions. "The tape degrades over time and becomes unplayable," they wrote in the product description. "We thought rather than it ending up as landfill we would cut it up and make it useful as a part of the special edition. A new life for some obsolete technology." Read more about the tape below. The special edition comes in a case bound album ("inspired by the albums for 78rpm shellac records in the library of La Fabrique, France") with 32 pages of original artwork. The album is pressed on two heavyweight 12" vinyl records. Find more info here.

Genre: Instrumental Progressive Metal | RAR 3% Rec. | Label: Dreamtime, Roadrunner Records, Kongenial

The best way to describe this band is a mixture of ideas from electronic and experimental music fused with progressive metal. An all instrumental band, Kong are able to create various sounds and moods, not unlike some post rock. Kong often has segments where the band is playing entirely separate from one another, yet the sound works. Eclectic is a word that comes to mind when listening to this band.
They started out in 1988 as a side project for Amsterdam-based musicians Dirk DeVries (guitar, samples, programming), Aldo Sprenger (guitar), Mark Drillich (bass, programming), and Rob Smits (drums)…

“What a great music DVD this is. I normally do not like music DVDs, too often filled with preening and self-adoration. But this one is different, showing the geography and scope of Iceland and its people in a very fresh, low-key and brilliant way, as well as showing off the music and the relative humility and humanity (as well as talent) of the musicians. I bought my first Sigur Ros CD years ago, and hadn't any idea what any of them looked like. You get to see them here, but in such a humble, common man way it is really refreshing. You also see much of the ordinary people of Iceland and the massive, empty scenery of the place. Just beautiful at virtually every level.”

The album features original score by Jonathan Beard (The Passion Of Anne Frank). One of the most sought-after orchestrators in Los Angeles, Jonathan values collaboration with other composers very deeply. He has worked closely with composers Junkie XL (Deadpool; Run All Night) and Bear McCreary (10 Cloverfield Lane; Marvel’s “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”) for many years on numerous film, television, and video game projects, and more recently with composers including Abel Korzeniowski (“Penny Dreadful”), Heitor Pereira (Despicable Me 3) and Gordy Haab (“Star Wars: Battlefront”), among others.
