East Texas Country Outfit JB & The Moonshine Band was born in 2009 when singer/songwriter JB Patterson decided to give up on his advertising career and start a band. When JB coordinated and open call audition in Tyler, TX, only three people showed up. He might have been disappointed in the lack of response, but when he heard them play, he realized that he couldn't have hand-picked a better band himself. The four became JB & The Moonshine Band, comprised of drummer Gabe Guevara, guitarist Hayden McMullen, bassist Chris Flores, and lead singer JB Patterson on banjo and guitar. They immediately threw together a PA, rented a UHaul van, and started taking gigs throughout east Texas.
