MathWorks has introduced Release 2022b of the MATLAB and Simulink product families. Release 2022b (R2022b) offers hundreds of new and updated features and functions in MATLAB and Simulink, along with four new products.

Add-ons extend the capabilities of MATLAB by providing additional functionality for specific tasks and applications, such as connecting to hardware devices, additional algorithms, and interactive apps. Add-ons are available from MathWorks and from the global MATLAB user community and encompass a wide variety of resources, including products, apps, toolboxes, and support packages.

In the distribution, additional packages expanding the scope of matlab for specific equipment (such as cameras, microcontrollers, arduins , plisets, oscillographs, etc.), for software functionality (such as opencv, popular deep learning models, mingw compiler, etc.), for infrastructure (different cloud services, different types of databases, etc.).
