Ambient Music

Resonance, a modern masterpiece of soothing ambient soundscapes, was originally released by global elecronica legend Adham Shaikh’s on Sonic Turtle, his own indie label, in 2010.
Most tracks were at first conceived on piano - as Shaikh watched footage for which his music had been commissioned - and then fleshed out with myriad electronic effects to create the spacious sound he wanted to achieve. Through his extensive experience in scoring music to pictures, he noticed similarities between creating subtle, passive atmospheres supportive of the images, and the very essence of ambient music - a genre he had explored in his early recordings during the 1990s, preceding his metamorphosis into a global groove DJ…

The Ambient Visitor (Brin Coleman) is a prolific ambient, shoegaze musician and producer from Manchester, UK. An introduction, to friends old and new, to the music of The Ambient Visitor, a collection of peaceful generative ambient music. This compilation includes a taste of each album self-released under this project.

Four subtle, slowly evolving pieces grace Eno's first conscious effort at creating ambient music. The composer was in part striving to create music that approximated the effect of visual art. Like a fine painting, these evolving soundscapes don't require constant involvement on the part of the listener. They can hang in the background and add to the atmosphere of the room, yet the music also rewards close attention with a sonic richness absent in standard types of background or easy listening music.
