The follow-up to 2017's conceptual Jomsviking, Berserker sees the melodic death metal legends forgo the narrative route in favor of a more straightforward, though no less uncompromising approach to their craft. The 12-track set, which evokes the might and melody of Twilight of the Thunder God, marks the studio debut of drummer Jocke Wallgren, who joined Amon Amarth in 2017 after the departure of longtime kitman Fredrik Andersson.

It was the first Amon Amarth album with guitarist Johan Söderberg and drummer Fredrik Andersson, Thus completing the line-up that remained up until 2015, following Andersson's departure from the band. It was also released as a digipak version, containing a bonus track "Thor Arise", a re-recording of the title track from their first demo, Thor Arise.

With Oden on Our Side is the sixth full-length studio album by the Swedish death metal band Amon Amarth. It was recorded in May and June 2006 and was released in Europe on 22 September 2006 by Metal Blade Records. A limited edition digipak was also released with a second disc that includes live songs, demos, and unreleased recordings.
