Ania

The album consists of cover versions of Ania's favourite movie and TV series themes. It debuted at #1 position in the Polish album chart. Ania Movie was initially to be released on 22 March, but due to technical problems the date was postponed. The album was officially confirmed as the very last retro-oriented record in Ania's discography.

Moritz Eggert n’avait jamais eu grand-chose en commun avec le sport jusqu’à ce qu’on lui propose, fin 2004, de composer pour la Ruhrtriennale 2005 un oratorio en rapport avec le football. L’œuvre fut composée en cinq mois seulement, de début mars à fin juillet. À la suite de la création à la Jahrhunderthalle Bochum, la pièce fut intégrée au programme culturel de la Coupe du monde 2006 et connut deux représentations au Komische Oper Berlin. Outre ce football-oratorio, d’autres pièces en rapport avec ce sport furent écrites, telles que Ballack, du geile Schnitte (« Ballack, t’es canon », 2007) ou, pour le Bal de l’Opéra de Vienne 2008, Am Ball – Ein Fußballett (« Bal(le) dansant – Un foot-ballet »), une composition qui fit alors quelques remous auprès du public conservateur. Du jour au lendemain Eggert a ainsi gagné ses galons de « foot-compositeur » : il est l’un des compositeurs contemporains les plus connus et, comme il le dit lui-même, l’un de ceux dont le « goût de l’aventure » est le plus prononcé.

The Viva Polonia! programme by the German-Polish musicians Ania Vegry (soprano), Roman Ohem (violin) and Oskar Jezior (piano) tells the story of the rich history of Poland. Songs and character pieces by nine Polish composers represent the arduous journey of the Polish people – from 1795 when the country vanished from maps until they regained independence in 1918. Spanning from the traditional to the modern, Viva Polonia! paints a musical portrait of Polish culture.

Ania Dąbrowska (aka Ania) is a popular Polish singer known for her beautiful calm voice and the hit singles “Tego chciałam” (I wanted this) and “Glory” .
